Im planning to remove my engine next winter and i'd love to hear more stories and see more pictures of this subject. Glass blasting or media? What kind of equipment is needed? (other than the obvious compressor etc) Best paint for engine/head? Colour codes? etc etc
  6. I suggest you check on your ignition switch, that causes similar issues. Do a little search and you'll find tons of info

Have you "bleeded" the cooling system? I have same kind of problems till i found out that there is air in the system. Take the radiator cap off and let it run until its warm. If it shoots coolant everywhere, you probably have bad head gasket, but if not, only the excess air exits and youre good to go.
  10. i had my Z inspected yesterday with new GR-2's. Inspector said he has never got so good results with struts, thats a real compliment to a 40year old car!

So, im looking this new hatch inner weatherstrip and it seems that MSA does not have them, only NOS ones that cost too much. BD has one for 50 bucks but is it any good? I do not want another oversized P.O.S that does not keep anything. Im suffocating in my z right now. Thanks.
  12. Nice ones! I have one article from 72 but its Finnish so not much fun for ya all

All the euro/jdm parts are rare.... especially the rear lights.
  14. If you got any pictures about that process, it would be nice!
  15. Dont know about Nismo or not but it sure looks hidious

I recommend to install it from rear, you need to remove the defroster tube and blower motor. Its not the easiest way but most likely best for the glove box.
  17. I dont know about 280z's but i did have leaking watercock inside my 240z, coolant was everywhere. Easy to replace and not that expensive.
  18. I hope i will be driving my Z when 83, respects for that!
  19. Those kind of antennas cost around 30 bucks here, not even close to original. This looks original http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-240z-260z-280z-Stereo-Power-Antenna-NICE-/220827609116
  20. Very beautiful Z, congrats!

S30's are over 30 years old, my 72 turns 40 this year. I drove over 2000 miles last summer without no problems. Engines are built to last forever. My 2 cents.
  22. Well, struts are on their way, 2 weeks late. So is there anything i could do while the car has no tires and the rear end is all exposed? I got no bushings or no bearings so that is out of option.
  23. That west covina car is EXACTLY the same color as mine, very nice!!
  24. Dayum, 8 Z's? I found my new best friend...
