    Nice pictures and good story.
  2. So it is 2.0L then? Sorry for my ignorance. For my "untrained" eye it just looked like normal 2.4

He is one of the greatest Finnish rally drivers ever.
  4. From the pics he provided, the engine is stock 2.4L. It's either typo (on both posts?) or he doesn't know what he's selling. Nice car though even its missing part from the rear.

Thanks to all! It was flasher relay that was broken. I bought a new one and it started working immediatetly, also faster. My Z is from California so there is basically zero rust and corrosion anywhere. When i look under the dash i can only wonder how all the wires and stuff has stayed in such good condition trough time. How is your amp gauge usually looking when driving, is it on center or little on the + side? Im just being paranoid with my alternator. Do you know where to get new alternator WITHOUT sending the old back?

I havent checked the flasher relay, but i'll buy one (or two!) anyways. Theyll cost about 3$. Are the 240z turn lights usually lazy or do i just have tired one? It is extreeeemly slow when turning lights are on (and working. In my other B310 Datsun turn signal is twice faster.

Actually, turn signals went down after he tried hazard switch..!! He told me that. So should i replace the hazard switch or what?

I was taking my 72-Z to the registration office week ago and guess what. At that very moment inspector entered the car and started to inspect it, turn signals went dead. Few moments ago they were working... What might cause this? Fuses are ok. When i turn that switch i can only hear one "click-clock" instead of continuous click-clock-click.... and the arrow indicator also stays black. It has done that few times randomly but it has always worked out eventually. Now it wont. help appreciated!

Thanks all, it was that little copper arm that caused this. It was too far from the steering wheel. I made a lot of noise doing that, hopefully neighbours are not mad cause i did it 10pm

Fuse is ok. Where exactly is this horn relay located? I've removed the combination switch few months ago for cleaning..hmmm i'll check that out too. Thanks so far!

I need my horn working in order to get trough inspection wich is in this week. Connectors in front are ok and horns itself are also in mint condition. They worked few months ago but now nothing. Could the problem be in the steering wheel wires? I've recently changed new ignition key but i put all the wires back as they were. What particular wire is for the horn? also horn cap is brand new so that can be overruled. Cheerz
  13. Double that
  14. My old Volvo 745 had a funny issue. When driving the fuel tank "fills up" by it self. It was always funny to watch when pointer started to rise in the middle of highway all the way up. Hope you'll get it fixed!

This is almost in topic. Finn-spec 240z's had 5 speed gearbox and foglights factory installed. Here's a review from 1972 and few nice pics too. Nice white interior, shifter knob seems different than normal. I couldnt import the pdf:s for some reason. It just wont let me upload them in here so i uploaded them in different place Here's first http://reverend.kuvat.fi/kuvat/1.pdf press the blue hyperlink under the picture to download or open it larger. Second http://reverend.kuvat.fi/kuvat/2.pdf
  16. We use tar and oil mixed with bitumi. That'll last forever and no rust!
  17. I was just wondering how rare colour is the limegreen or lemon and lime in 240z's? My Zee is currently painted in orange but it was originally limegreen. There is a little voice in my head that repeats "paint it lime..." but im not sure yet. What is the colourcode on that? cheerz
  18. 195/65 if i remember correctly. Yea i know it is a sportscar. I just dont think that its normal that when i drive road with tiny bumps everything that's inside the car (including the strapped driver) flies around like a barn in hurricane. We have great roads by the way, most of the roads are renewed on yearly basis. Few days ago i was driving with toolbox behind my back, i almost went deaf after toolbox bounces around with all the heavy wrenches banging around :stupid:
  19. I have 14" slot mags and they seem to be balanced. As far as i know, it's running on stock suspension. Ok struts at least are going to be changed. If i change only calibers, that should be "quite" easy right? It is dream to drive if the road doesnt have any bumps.
  20. As the topic says: im loosing my teeth while driving my Z. Suspension is super stiff and i prefer lot softer. So heres the deal: im new to anything suspension related but i know that in order to make it softer i need to remove a lot of stuff. So suggestions and hints are taken HOW to make it more comfortable and with WHAT parts. Does BD or Motorsport have any "all bushings" package, as old ones are quite worned out. Maybe changing them helps a bit. thanks
  21. That is an awesome car! I do have engine bay in different colour, maybe I'll change back to Limegreen instead of painting it orange...

I got rid of the overheat. I took the radiator to radiator shop and they patched it up. Now its good to go. Now i have a new problem..leaking fuel pump... arghhh!!!
  23. Allright, maybe im a little paranoid Guess you cant never know what's gonna happen next. I better find a good alternator just in case current one fails. Actually i just remembered that alternator failed also in my other Datsun (150Y) few years ago. BTW: What kind of alternators will fit 240Z? Do you need to do lot of changing if installing a bigger alternator..?
  24. Reverend replied to Reverend's post in a topic in Help Me !!
Oil is just changed and i've been driving with it about 50miles in this year. I'll take radiator to shop a.s.a.p.
