  17. well a bit of useless info, passenger side inner seat rail is differant on the 75' 240k sedan compared to the 77' 240k sedan! i only found this out after i bought a 240k for its seat rails :stupid:

  19. Ok, today i noticed that the inner tie-rod ends where they bolt onto the drag link are very close the the crossmember (infact it slightly rubs when i turn the wheel) i dont think it was like this before i rebuilt all the front end i think i could possibly have the idler arm bolted in the wrong position? it is in the middle set of holes, is this right? is it possible i have the struts reversed??

i too have got dash probs, it was in the worst condition ive exer seen (perished all over about 300 cracks) undone all the nuts holding on (there are a few hidden ones) came off easy as pie, now i have a bare skeleton and no dash. I had a quick look at the 200b dash pad, looked close so i tok that off to see if it would fit....... it doesent (i knew it wasnt going to, i had high hopes, wishful thinking and a bit of time on my hands) Now, with the bare skeleton installed, and the instrument cluste,r and my newly done gtr style ally fascia, im thinking of using aluminum sheeting to cover the skeleton?!? would this work.... or am i just crazy

before i rip apart my rebuilt 240k struts to try and fit r33 4 pot calipers, i was wondering if anyone has done this before?? rang Datsport and was told "its too hard, get R31 struts"..... can i use the r33 5 stud hubs?? i know the toyota/hilux calipers are the go for an easy conv, but i dont have a set of them, but i do have 1 set of alloy nissan 4 spots & 1 set of cast iron nissan 4 spot callipers (what are these off) and a set of VL turbo calipers. might have to ebay them the get the Hilux ones if there is no hope of fitting these??

yeah mate rb25det, was looking at the el'cheapo ebay plenums, was warned about the shitty casting (which doesnt really worry me as i was gonna clean it up anyway) but the bad fitting you mentioned has me worried now might try and find a good 2nd hand 1
  24. 24TKman replied to SHM17Y's post in a topic in 240K Skyline
yeah mate, used the chris rummfield thread!! the R33 dash needs about 10-15mm cut off each end to fit in the 240k (which isnt so bad as its mainy plastic on the ends), but then there is the hassle of mounting it (im not at that stage yet) didnt end up getting the engine in tonight, took the gearbox off and had a look at the clutch, seems in good cond. took off all other accessories i wont be running, pwr steer, air-con, rad fan, heat shields etc... (makes the engine look much tidier imo):classic: gonna need a gtr style plenum for bonnet clearances i can see already
  25. 24TKman replied to SHM17Y's post in a topic in 240K Skyline
ive decided to use the original wiring for the car and the r33 loom to run the engine (easiest way imho) stripped the loom back last night using a guide from another site i found, very straight forward. Putting the motor/gearbox in tonight now with the dash/instrument cluster, im sreiously thinking of modding the R33 dash and fitting that to the 240k as this would be the easiest way around guages/speedo, which is a pity coz the 240 instrument cluster is one of the best parts of the car imo! otherwise i could try my hand at fitting the R33 guages into the 240k cluster, but risk screwing everything up!?! :stupid:
