thread resurrection. sorry mods. I am utterly greatful that i came across this thread, i recently have the same problem. my l28et in my 260z is too, well modified with an isky cam, and is making the same noise diseazd was going through. after reading this thread, i took a hose to my ear and put it to the bottom of the timing chain cover, revved it up, and found exactly where the problem was as described! so, tonight im going to put some loctite on the bolt, tighten it down, , and sleep well tonight. thanks guys
