Need advice on this 71 Z
Congratulations on the purchase. Owning a Rebello Z myself, I have to say it is definitely an awesome experience. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come

I feel bad
My second Z was a bolt and nut restoration. Felt bad modifying it, so I bought one in lesser condition. No regrets!

Looking for Recommendations
$25,000 invested in what, and is that over the course of 27 years? I think thats the biggest question. I'd ask for a copy of all the receipts, or his word would be nothing to me. All the items he listed doesn't sound like $25,000 to me, unless labor is included in that price. Don't be afraid to look for Z Cars in California and have a friend, member, or contact check it out for you. Even flying to California to look at a car could be an option. 250hp on a 2.4L stroked block doesn't sound very realistic.

RKR 15x8 in Matt Bronze
Unfortunately the only size that comes in 4x114.3 are 17" wheels. The 15x8's only come in 4x100 et0, or else I would have ordered a set!

California Mille Migle
Yeah Leon! You are more than welcome! If you remember Ivan with the white Hakosuka, and his friend... we will all be rolling out together. He lives up north, so most likely we'll all be meeting at the location. Shoot me a PM with your e-mail so I can update you on logistics .

California Mille Migle
Julio, You could always join in on the Anti-Football Run on January 1st which is free unless you want a sweater ($35). A few friends of mine and myself will be in attendance (65 Mini, my Z, a 72 Skyline).

Looking for RHD hood latch and cable, HELP
Alan, would you happen to have another set available? I could definitely use a new set as well. Apologizes I didn't see your reply to Travis earlier.

Congratulations on your purchase. It looks like a solid car, and the rust doesn't look too bad. Bookmarked your blog

My first Z!
Lovin' it! Do you mind if I ask what size wheels / tires combo you are running? Are those Hayashi's or Rotas?

Mitchell, Your seats do look great by the way...

Show me your seats
Compe seats finally came in Overall I am psyched, they look like they are in very good condition with a little touch up that can be done. One of the headrests, not pictured, has the "NISSAN" symbol embedded in the side. The two stickers on the rear of one seat read "JAF-FIA Motorsports 1988" and "1989" (Japanese Auto Federation - Federation Internationale de l'Automobile," Maybe this means they were on some type of race car? :cheeky: I will be getting my Z back from the alignment shop today. So we'll see how things go in terms of progress to get them in.

Show me your seats
Can't wait to see them. My Compe seats come in tonight, so I'll be calling Wedge Engineering in the morning to order some brackets/sliders. How long did they take to get to you from the day you ordered?

Reaction Disk reattached, now brake pedal is very stiff
Yep! If the push rod is sitting hard against the MC piston thats no good. You probably have to put a line on both of the side bleeders of your MC, routing them back into the reservoirs, to let out the pressure so the piston can release.

Reaction Disk reattached, now brake pedal is very stiff
The 0.3mm is the amount of empty space that should be between the end of the pushrod and the black plunger in the master cylinder, I believe.

Reaction Disk reattached, now brake pedal is very stiff
Did you adjust the push rod? The push rod clearance (or gap) between itself and the plunger should be around 0.3mm (+/- 0.2mm). Here is a good how to: http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/102754-a-one-inch-diameter-brake-master-cylinder-for-the-s30-z-cars/
