78 280z heater valve needed!
I still have the heater control valves pictured earlier. Shoot me a PM regarding which one you need, with your price offer. They are both off a '78 280Z with factory air cond. I may decide to part with them if the price is right

Motor
That's an extremely tough question to answer accurately. If the previous owner(s) maintained the engine with proper oil & filter changes, and didn't drive the crap out of it, then I agree 300,000 miiles (or more) is possible. I've seen some cars that have major engine issues with only 100,000 miles. It all depends on maintenance and how hard they were driven. Just my two cents worth P.S. that is one sweet-looking 260 you have!

78 280z heater valve needed!
There have been tons of posts on all the Z websites regarding the heater control valve. They are no longer made or available. You can get yours rebuilt for about $180 plus a $100 core charge from datsunstore.com. Alot of S30 owners just remove the factory valve, and modify the setup with something else. I do happen to have a pair of good valves for sale. One is a vacuum setup for factory AC cars. The other is a manual valve wihich is used on both the AC & non-AC cars. Send me a PM if interested.

Another Z purchase :)
That is a beauty indeed. After you remove the license plate, I'd remove that steering wheel too

Identifying some interior stuff
Hard to tell from the pics. The first pic looks like it could be the antenna lead, which would plug into the back of the radio. The second pic doesn't look like a vaccum hose. It almost looks like a drain hose of some sort. Can you tell what the other end is hooked to?

Newbie here, with a restoration question
Based on what's left of the front bumper and hood, it's either a '75 or '76. I do believe in restoring an S30 when possible, but that car is a joke. Notwithstanding any rust issues, the heat from that fire surely has weakened most of the metal work. I'm sure the frame is tweaked as well. It probably has a hundred bucks worth of salvageable parts... maybe. I'd pass on that one for sure.

just bought a 77 280z
If you haven't put in a new fuel filter, I'd try that first.
