Total Restoration Project. 71
I'm as excited as a kid at Christmas, and I am just spectating. I can't imagine what you feel like.

24 months of intensive restoration, and I'm almost done.
The section of I40 from Wilmington to I95 should be a blast in that thing. Have fun. I hope to see this in person one day. Pat

Batter Tender Questions
This year my 10 year old Battery Tender died. Plug it in a use a Volt meter to check the voltage coming out of the Tender. Mine had no output. Took it to a friend and found that the output transistor was bad. These things have a long warranty so you should be able to get it fixed or replaced where you purchased it.

What is the status on this build? Really enjoyed looking and reading about it. I used to live in Roanoke Rapids, NC. If I was still there I would definitely have to make the trip to Richmond to take a look at this incredible collection. Thanks for sharing. Pat

Has your Z/Zed ever left you stranded?
Back in the 70's my 260z stranded me three times. Twice, I had the spring in the button on the inside of the distributor cap fail, and lost ignition. The first time I had to walk (it was before cell phones). The second time I had a spare in the car just in case. The other was when a resistor inside of the "interlock" module (which had to do with the seatbelt or something being tied in with the electronics) blew. Killed the ignition. I had to have it towed and found a replacement part in a junk yard. Those were the good old days! Pat

Hello from Tallahassee
New guy here, currently in Tallahassee, Fl. I don't currently have a Z Car however, in high school/college I had an early 260z while living in eastern NC. I grew up in that car but sadly had to sell it when I needed transportation and it needed repairs that I couldn't afford to do at the time. I would love to be able to go back and buy the same car again but the guy who bought it wrapped it around a tree. I am starting to spend some time here reminiscing and dreaming of the day that I WILL own another Z. Pat

I do have questions about two things I have noticed. Do you think you will have any problem with the heat of the turbo being so close to the plastic brake fluid reservoirs? Also, with the placement of the air filter, is there going to be enough cold air flow to the intake? I would love to see this car in person some day. This is a DREAM build. Pat

I am new here, and this is the FIRST thread I have subscribed to. I haven't had a Z in 20 years and am getting the fever. Beautiful build by the way. Pat
