  1. Hmm, I am not familiar with that book, Alan do you have more details about it? perhaps a photo of the cover?
  2. No, I cant read japanese nor can JMark. It is MY opinion. He asked I answered. JMark asked specifically about the PICTURES and there are some decent rare photos, but most are fairly small and in black and white only, if I recall correctly. Since we, jmark and I can't read Japanese there is a large amount of the book that is not useful. MY critique is not a negative statement...WHY would you think it that was! Again you are suggesting that I am ignoring the bigger picture, " a World story rather than a local single-country story". But that cant be further than the truth! In fact, your trying to insite a verbal argument again. Please stop this.
  3. They can be a little tricky to find, but ebay has been a good source for that kind of thing. I found an excellent copy on ebay a few months back for about $50.00. A "must have" for the Vintage Datsun race fan.
  4. Les Cannaday has a copy of that book and I have leafed through it briefly. It is okay. Another book worth getting is the Stainless Steel Carrot. It is a rare book as well, written by Silvia Wilkinson about the BRE race team in 70 to 72. It has a center section with numerous photos of the BRE race team etc.
  5. Hooters, Yokohama "allegedly"..... So Steve, who's next!? Jimmy Hoffa!! The Beatles explaining their reverse lyrics to Revolution #9 That is some pretty slick software, there Steve.

You can look in my gallery of the the ATL well cell that we used in my Z
  10. Hmm, I would not say that. But I would expect that some extra work will be involved on a 30+ year old car.
  11. GunnerRob stole my thunder....LOLz Z432 -R noted....
  12. okie dokie
  13. Les Cannaday is a good friend of mine. His shop is 2.5 miles from my home and currently I store my racing roadster at his shop Roadster Photos from Les's Website . 71ZZZZZ you probably saw a red roadster #33 parked next to the blue Z with TWM injection....Regardless, lots of research into building my BRE replica, Peter used the Nissan factory spoiler from the Z432. THE "BRE" Spoiler and the Z432 spoiler ARE EXACTLY THE SAME. I think we are all in agreement on what we are saying but we seem to go around in circles trying to state it correctly. I can understand why there is a fitment problem on these cars due to the design of the part. I have heard that MSA has changed the mounting points on spoilers and that may be part of the issue. I know also that Les's fiberglass fabricator has redone several molds lately and that will effect how the mounting points are indexed. Most importantly, these are hand made parts and so there will be some discrepancy between them. Finally, BPILATI brings up a good point. Les is a small business who wants to treat his customers fairly. I feel strongly about supporting his business and know that both my BRE replica and Bob Sharp Roadster would not be the cars that they are without his tireless efforts. There are Very few people that I have met that have been so passionate about a single marque. The cars he builds are fantastic, Craigs 510 (Bob Sharp Replica) several roadsters and Z's...I have seen them all and they are incredible.
  14. Since the 432R spoiler was not widely available through Datsun in the U.S., and BRE, later Interpart sold these spoilers they were typically called BRE spoilers in the States by some. Although that coined name is not correct. And the front "spoiler" was called a Spook.
  15. 71ZZZZZ the 432 rear spoiler is the same as a rear BRE spoiler. Peter Brock ran these on his Z cars. I have photos to support this if you are interested.
  16. Since you are still looking....you can get an adapter for this MOMO wheel for sale on ebay (as a matter of fact I have a spare MOMO adapter) and this wheel would work, as I have this exact style wheel in my 240z race car. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Alfa-Romeo-MOMO-Wood-Steering-Wheel-Beautiful-NR_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33589QQitemZ7998186816QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

  18. Yeah we discussed this several years ago and built a strutbar to support that section of your Z. You can look at my gallery here is one of the picts. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=1221&cat=500&page=18
  19. Dave, glad you could make it! since I am bringing two cars you can be the surrogate owner of one of mine for the day
  20. There is a registry for the first 500 american Z cars on Carl Becks website. I would suggest that you contact him and add your car to that registry. From a strict value standpoint it will be the most valuable in stock original condition. www.zhome.com
