Going Muffler-less
2.4 with Mikuni's, BRE header and dual 2 1/4 exhaust to two megaphones sounds pretty awesome too, but not something to drive on the street. We are talking about 114db +

Help with unusual header I.D.(pictures)
yeah, the BRE headers are flanged so I think you can rule that out. I understand that you want to drive the car...the cost and time to get this done now you have your car apart to this point is pretty minor...I would really reconsider...but hey it is your car

Help with unusual header I.D.(pictures)
I know that there is a Japanese header (mentioned above) that is very close to the BRE design....that is probably what you have. From a performance standpoint it will not be as good as a Stahl header, but it is a rare item, and worth salvaging if possible. I would remove it and have it thermal coated, and run it on your car. Help with unusual header I.D.(pictures)
With the exception of the front pipe it does look quite a bit like the BRE header. Really the way to tell would be to look at the collectors and how they are set up. When I first looked at the photos above I thought that it was a BRE header but after reviewing my photos I am not so sure. here is my header: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=11138&size=big&sort=1&cat=500 http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=9903&size=big&sort=1&cat=500

MSA Show
ZIII, the MSA show is very orderly on Sundays. They have had lots of practice. be prepaired to be in a fairly long line of Z cars as they run them in one at a time.

MSA Show
George, There are events all weekend, however the car show is Sunday. The cars are not on "display" the other days. Here is a link to the show: https://www.zcarparts.com/registration_form.htm

Racing $$$
I agree to the point, but in vintage racing there is no prize money....it is the ego thing, being the winner....not the money.

My BRE Replica 240z in Sports Car International
Guys, Just got a few advance copies from Sports Car International, which should be hitting the newstands presently. There are photos from Fontana, the JGTC weekend. And a great article with 35 years of Nissan Datsun Racing with photos the Nismo GT500 350Z and my BRE Replica, and a great article! Check it out!! Some great Z car coverage from a fun weekend. Ron

Mikuni vs. SK vs. ???
well they are the two experts...maybe your not asking the right questions. Both Rebello and Classic Datsun build and sell high performance datsun motors. Not motorcycles....

Racing $$$
To some people it is all about stroking their EGO's, winning becomes an obsession at any price. The thrill of winning becomes all consuming, and the fun of racing falls by the wayside. The $$$ get involved when these people want to win so bad that they will throw any resource at it to do so. Like standing on a podium for a stupid ribbon means that your a better person? We have to put up with the porsche crowd here in Southern California, some of the worst drivers to ever roll onto the track....all $$$ no tallent punks that think you are a lower class individual if you don't drive a car that starts with "P". Well I am here to tell you there are a couple of guys out here that are kicking a$$ over the "P" guys and they dont like it...Atempeting rule changes to exclude us, limiting our gearbox options to slow us down etc. It's unreal.... I will get off my soap box now.... R

I know that Darius had a bad accident a few years ago, after that video came out. Dont know what he is doing now....great engineering, poor judgement.

Suspension Techniques Anti-Roll bar
ezzzzzz, you have a car modified by BRE? or did someone buy a bunch of parts from BRE or Interpart? What do you know about your car? and where are you located?
-
Suspension Techniques Anti-Roll bar
I have a set of Arizona Z car adjustable front and rear sway bars for sale, they will fit a Z that has Factory mounts and are 1 1/8" front and 7/8" rear. These have special endlinks and are adjustable with 3 or 4 different settings. The front bar comes with a special mount that offsets the mounting postion of the front bar so that it will not rip apart your frame rail under extreme driving /racing conditions. These parts are off of a "B" Street Prepared autocross 280Z and are in excellent condition.

yep, that is Darius's car in Northern California. Pleasant Hill Road to be exact....There is a Video of him racing a motorcycle as well.
