Hey Guys! Thanks for your kind words! it was an honor to be interviewed for the show, I hope I represented the Z community well. The only thing I wish that they had kept in the interview that was not included was what I had said about PDK Fabrication and all the work they put into the car.

Dennis, the guy that handles my website copied the segment and is going to put it up on my website. I will let you know when it is up. As always they cut stuff out of the interview. But all in all, I was happy with what they put together. They used a bunch of photos from Ben Yount (V12Horse) from this forum and a couple of photos of mine with Pete Brock and my car.

WEST COAST is 7:30 and 11:30PM. It's listed here too. They are sending me a DVD of the episode. So one way or another I suspect it will find it's way onto this forum.

Hmm, "the best car Datsun ever made". I am not so sure a 260Z falls into that catagory. Obviously the seller likes the car, and it is in nice shape. Is it worth $20K?

Amazing, I have seen pictures of these but not the real thing in a Z or Skyline for that matter. There is a couple of videos around of a 510 with with a cross flow DOHC cam OS Giken head. That is a real treat.... Thanks for the link to the video.

nothing against Dan but he should be hosting that site in a proper location and not out of his house. Hosting servers in a secure facility with plenty of redundant cooling and power is a no brainer and costs very little. Dan, if you are listening, contact me, Internet Hosting is my business...

Very smokey and small ash flakes in the air and all over the place this morning. The smoke looks like a dense fog. Got all the windows closed and the TV News on. Could see the flames from the Rice Fire from my back yard last night, about 7 miles north and east of my location. We are in a safe area according to the TV News. They are saying that 1200+ structures have burned.

My friend Dwane, who was just featured in Nissan Sport Magazine with his racing 510 had to evacuate last night. He lives in Poway.

We are in North County San Diego, It is sunny where we are but there is smoke to the north and south of us. Looking out my home office window I can see the smoke (and tonight I will be able to see the fire) in Fallbrook about 7 to 10 miles north east of me...

Thanks guys! can't wait to see the episode. I hope I don't look like a total fool I was not interviewed by Barry...and it will not be a full episode on my car and me. Just a segement of the show. Barry freeks me out too...but, he does love cars and is a true enthusiast. He has done quite a bit for the automotive industry, and weird or not, that is a good thing for us. PS Barry Meguiar was overheard the following day at the Coronado races talking about the JCCS show. He was amazed at all the cars and the turnout... Tomohawk, you can come out from Cleveland and lick my BRE 240Z any time you want. I think you will find that it looks sweet, but it doesn't taste sweet....

This last summer I was interviewed by Car Crazy TV at the Motoring J Style car show in Northern California. I just got a call from Car Crazy TV and they will be airing the episode with my interview and my BRE replica on October 29th on Speed. Should be worth seeing. R

So to make your Z sound like that you need the following: triple Mikuni 44's with a 2.4 liter motor with an 11lb fly wheel, with 12.5:1 compression, Z-196 cam and a heavily modified Slover race head... Feed that into a custom fabricated BRE race header and 2.5" dual exhaust to two custom built bright yellow megaphones and.... You too will have a Z that is so loud that it will wake the dead LOLLOLLOL PS the second video shown is not my BRE Z, it is Phil Mendelovitz's 240Z.

I know Sal was really involved with the show every year, and I am sure he will be missed. I have not purchased much from MSA, so this has not effected me personally. But I did like Sal and he has been a fixture with MSA. I wish him all the best.

I have just learned that my DATSUN ROADSTER has been accepted to run at Coronado!! This is the second time since 1997 that a Datsun has run at Coronado! So if you guys can make it, we will be running on North Island the weekend of October 6th! This is a big spectator event and should be a good venue to see my little datsun run. Good stuff, I read this several years ago. Les Cannaday is a good friend of mine and has recounted this roundtable to me many times. It is good stuff. How I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall.

I have a roadster, Z and 510. I enjoy the open feeling of the roadster and drive it more than my other cars. The Z is faster, and handles better, but the roadster has some magic that is hard to beat.
