Good deal! some before and after photos are in order.
  2. Can you take anyone serious who drives a baby poop yellow Z!? Aren't those touring cars running cantilevered slicks!?

Sorry to hear about your Z, that is a serious bummer. I hope that you know of a good body shop to do the repair, as my experiences have been less that positive. I would still tell your insurance company so that they are aware of the situation, So if it goes badly you can have your insurance company help you out. I wish they wwould inforce this law in California, as everyone parks their slow a$$ cars in the fast lane to the point where there are fewer but slower cars in the slower lanes. Then faster drivers weave in and out of the slower lanes....ARG! Actually they are legal and can be used in a court of law. Some States might differ on this...
  4. Hypertek, It is a bold statement to say the "best looking period" in your opinion...sure...but the first thing to expect on this site is everyone will disagree with you, because their vision is different than yours.... To defend your position is not worth while. Glad you like the car you posted....thanks for sharing. Next time try a thread that says, "Hey check out this cool Z" and I think you will find that the opinions will be positive and not negative.
  5. Hey well its a nice car, and well turned out...but I like mine better.

Most of us run 10's to 12's....some who run 20 min sessions run an 8 gallon....

I agree that this is a carb problem and not a fuel flow problem brought on by low pressure. Good luck and let us know what you find / what works. BTW, I have 2 Carter pumps on a single pickup. I am running an ATL fuel cell with a surge tank. My pumps are configured as an either / or situation. So If one pump were to fail I can manually switch over to the second pump with a flip of a switch.
  12. Victor & Ben, It was a great show!!

  15. Rob N, i guess we got off on a tangent...I guess that American Racing is recycling older names. My vote is for Panasports, they are available in different colors, and are a really well made wheel for the money. Good luck!
  16. American LeMans wheels: American Silverstone wheels:
  17. I have 14" Silverstones on my roadster and 14" Le Mans on my Z both wheels are Mag wheels so they corrode very easily. As far as I know, they were only available in 14's for Datsuns. Some of these wheels were manufactured in 15" for other vehicles.
  18. There have been several write ups on strut braces and how they work. I was involved with the design of the PDK solution and can answer any questions you might have.
  19. Lance what ever you decide, Have Fun!! Can't wait to see what you decide to do...but beware, one minute you are building a street car...the next thing you know your building an all out race car. Trust me I say this from experience.... :D
  20. I suspect that the Altima would have stiffer springs as it is a heavier car. Too soft a spring and it will effect how the struts work with them. I would suggest getting your springs tested and have a set wound (it's not that expensive) aproximately 10% to 20% below what you have now / factory settings. Again, and Victor and I mentioned this, tires will play a larger part to this equation. 14" 70 series tires will make a huge difference.
  21. greyghost, Great Photo! According to Bob, he was not a fan of the early color and much preferred the later color scheme. Lance, Good luck with the paint job, it is a tricky scheme to layout at best.
  22. I would look at all the suspension componants. 70 series tires with softer side walls, different spring rates, different swaybars (yes swaybars will make a significant difference). NOS Bushings and of course strut inserts, and new top hats for the struts. I suspect the advantages of your ZX and Suburban are two fold. I wheelbase on the Suburban and weight of both vehicles. A larger and heavier car will absorb a significantly larger amount of bumping and bouncing around. Especially with a very compliant suspension. My 500SL rides like a big boat, even though it is a smaller car. It is very heavy and has a soft suspension....
  23. The current car represents the BSR car with C-Production flares. Bob is a really good guy and has lots of information on his cars, including colors etc. if you are looking to incorporate his paint scheme on your car.
  24. Is this the TRUE definition of RICER? it looks like it to me. The fact that it is an Automatic is just perfect....
  25. Thanks JMark...I have seen that book...I will keep an eye out for a spare copy. Let me know if you can source more than one copy. Thanks!
