What do you think of this Z?
Canuk, I would suggest a Vacation to Southern California, perhaps around the time of the MSA show, you should be able to find a Z in the range you are looking for in the LA / San Diego area. More importantly, be sure to have what ever you buy closely examined prior to purchase. R

Nissan "Z" Adverstising Campaign - Who's got photos?
The orange 240Z is Bob Spates 240Z, the same car used in Sports Illustrated. Oh Hi Bob, didnt see your post at first.... R

What do you think of this Z?
Not a bad driver and a "fair" price for a driver from what I can see. Not a candidate for a concours car however. I would be concerned with what Too Intense has done, and the quality of work. A closer look would be necessary to make a determination. R

L-series heads
I have 2 Slover heads, yes they have been doing L6's for 35 years + I understand that they are reasonable $$$. I don't have their number but do know that they are in the 818 area code. R

F1 Race @ Indy
Safety and politics never mix. I think that this will ruin the US F1 GP. People come from all over the world to see this race. I am sure that there will be plenty of fall out from this, although not necessarly in regards to F1 racing in the United States.

Re; 2 piece wheels
A two piece rim has a removable center on a static rim width that would allow you to install a different lug pattern center or change the offset of the wheel by changing the offset of the center section that is installed onto that wheel. A three piece is as described above, allowing you to change the width of the rim as well as the center section.

Z Cars in Road & Track, Car and Driver and Motor Trend
Famous hardly...Infamous more likely... Hey I am just a schmuck who built a replica of a famous car... The car and it's orginal race team deserve the credit. 35 years later and it is still a marketing tool. That is something to say about longevity. On a side note HMSA (Historic Motor Sports Assoc) will let me run the car at Monterey next year!! Cant wait to get her out on the track!!

Z Cars in Road & Track, Car and Driver and Motor Trend
Lowell, The Blue 240Z was photographed at the MSA show this year (I recognise the background of the photo) but have no idea who it belongs to. The BRE car is built to race, I just finished building it in December of last year. It will be parked with the BRE 510 for a month this August at Nissan USA headquarters. After that...well there are a few things that it still needs...I guess I will focus on those little items and then go racing.

Z Cars in Road & Track, Car and Driver and Motor Trend
Sorry Alan, no your car is not in the advertisement (although it does deserve to be there!). There is a red and yellow C Production Z #56, my Z and several street cars. Most of the photos were taken at MSA this last year... I remember that I had to sign off on several waivers for Chiat/Day to use photos of my cars and me. A few photos look to be from a Texas club event as well. R

Z Cars in Road & Track, Car and Driver and Motor Trend
Hey for those of you who subscribe to R & T, Car and Driver or Motor Trend there are several Z's featured in a new Nissan advertisement in the July issues. There is a picture of Me and my BRE replica (with several BRE decals airbrushed off the car for some unknown reason) taken at MSA this year. Before you run out to the newsstand, keep in mind that these advertisements are only for people who subscribe, and not on the newsstand copies for some reason!? R

So what does your Z sound like!?
Slover is in the 818 area code, I know that someone on WCZR's has used them recently...unfortunately I dont have their address. I know of their reputation and they are about the best around that I know of...yes I would use them to freshen up your E-31

I am sure we rattled the windows a bit...Gav you must have heard the car in Melbourne!? Really liked this shot. Bambi, I left my car there overnight...I thought the deal was if I drop one off, I get to choose another one to drive....
