Its gonna be sweet. Now we can go for cruise in old looking cars versus all the brand new Z's....at least until this one gets a little makeup.

Looks good for a restoration to me from what I can see. Good price.

I bought a roll of 3/16 steel tubing and then used a double flare tool to put new ends on the lines after they were routed where they needed to be. Double flaring is no harder than flaring, just one extra step in the process and you need the tool for it. Think I bought a 25' roll of tubing. It might be tricky getting the hard line from front to back with all the suspension and drivetrain in place though. You could cut out the piece with the hole in it and just replace that section with a union. I have the toyota front calipers with a stock aftermarket master cylinder and the brakes work fine. I have never had stock calipers so I dont know if they are better or not.

would the defrost work properly if those vents were not there? Oh I just noticed you said except that side.

I would say if your going to do all the work yourself and dont mind spending tons of time doing it, go for it. If your paying someone to do the bodywork, you would be much better off with a less rusty car.
  6. Guy..the car looks great. Hope to get by and see it next week.
  7. I also did it without removing wires from plugs on a 71.

Here is a picture of Pirelli P4 195/70/14. Just put them on about a month ago. As far as how they handle, I dont have anything to compare them to because these are the 1st tires Ive had on the car. They were 353.00 including shipping to Richmond VA from Tire Rack. Also I mounted them myself and removed all the wheel weights from the wheels. It seems to be fine without having been balanced.
  9. Glad to hear they are running good right off the bat. Love the look of your engine bay. I just got mine adjusted and running pretty smooth. I just took the air horns off on the back carb to sync carbs then put them back on after and seems to be good. The snorkel would be nice though. Now drive it an enjoy. Brian
  10. Try undoing your timing adjustment. Putt it back where it was. Also make sure your throttle linkage didn't get bumped which could cause the carbs to be out of synch.
