Herman, If you like the bumpers on the #2 picture I have a new, never installed MSA Type ll body kit for sale. I asking $350 + shipping. I am open to reasonable offers. MSA price is $540 + shipping. Thanks, JB
  3. I agree with Diseazd, do not over torque it no matter which type you use. I just replaced the pan gasket on my 78/280z. I used a cork gasket from FelPro gaskets. It replaced a rubber gasket that leaked from over torquing. I do not like rubber pan or valve cover gaskets because that seems to always happen when using them.
  4. I seem to have Hi Jacked this thread from jkeese01. I would be interested in the louvers if jkeese01 does not want them. He should be first in line. Would you have some pictures and a price you could send or post? Thanks JB

  10. Another welcome. Where in Texas?
  11. Not only leave the belt on, turn the ac on every month at least for a minute or two to circulate the oil and not dry out the seals.

I'm ready to do the full dash cap on my 78/280. I would welcome opinions on where to purchase one. I've looked at Black Dragon and MSA. My guess is you can't tell them apart but anyone with first knowledge please let me know good or bad. One more question please. I plan on doing the cap with the dash in the car. Any comments on that plan? Thanks, JB
  14. I am going to recover my door panels and need opinions on vendors quality. I am looking at Z-Specialties and Z Car Source of AZ. Prices are equal after delivery. If you have first hand knowledge of either vendor I would appreciate hearing from you or if you used another vendor. Thanks, JB
  15. Sounds like the name "SSnake Oyl" is appropriate for this company.

Steve, Thanks for the reply. You guessed it. I replaced the bulb in the front light and it started blinking. Bulb was the right number but old. Looked like original. I looked in the body elec. section but never found what the relay is for. The wires are as follows: Black-Blue-Green with yellow stripe-Green.

280z/1978z Left turn signal lights are on but will not blink. Right side works fine, hazard lights work fine. Both left side lights come on and so does the dash indicator light. I have not tried a new flasher yet, thought someone might have an answer for me. I also have searched the FSM but cannot find what the relay that is under the passenger side seat is for. Mine has melted the plastic and I have unplugged it with no apparent loss of what ever it relays to. I need to know what it does and if I should replace it and if so where do I find one. Thanks for any help anyone can give. John

Please advise me where to find rubber bushings and spindle pins for the rear of a 78/280z. I have read that poly bushings will cause a harsh ride and am wanting to go back original. Any advice is appreciated JB
