Wiring Connectors, can they be replaced?
I've gone through my entire electrical system. I've also gone through the pain and the effort to find new connectors, crimps, ends, and other various things. What I found is that not all connectors are available. Some of them are still around, but, difficult to find. I think this is one of the reasons somebody hasn't come up with a brand new replacement wiring harness for the Z. There are various posts on this website that will help you in this research. Use the search utility and you'll find a lot of it.

New Club DVD!
Yes, a dual-layer can support 7.92GB and that will be plenty of room. But, I might want to go with a single layer DVD (4.38GB) for compatibility reasons. I am still not sure what we'll need until all of the data is put together, so, I'm saving the decision for later.

how much did you pay for you're Z?
$500 for the actual car in 1987. It had a blown engine due to a frozen block. I spent about $2k and I drove it through college. In 1996 I started sandblasting and removing parts..... After approximately $18k in various parts, labor, and other things, the car is 99% finished. All-in-all, I have about $20-$21k into this car over the past 20 years.

YOU JUST HAVE TO LOOK AT THESE Z's!!!
Hey Tomohawk, I understand you're really into RC models? Do you know if there's a 240z body available anywhere? I'd like to get my hands on a 240z RC car and paint it like mine. As far as the scaled die-cast models.... the 1:24's are better than a Hotwheel. Frankly, I like any kind of 240z model. I picked up one of the Franklin Mint models a few years ago and that's an excellent die-cast. But, I believe it's a 1:18? Toecutter, that red model looks IDENTICAL to your ride.... I wish they had a yellow one for obvious reasons....

Wiper boots dry out Fast
Guys, there is no sense in keeping this thread going. It's insane to discuss lubrication of the wiper boots or whatever this thread has turned into. I already outlined that Tomohawk got screwed in his transaction. Check that one off as a bad Ebay experience. I am going to close the thread so we can all move on to the next subject matter.

Wiper boots dry out Fast
You got screwed Tomo.... New boots should last a lot longer than a few months.

Guys, don't let this get into a flamer.... I actually use a rubber/black cleaner to keep my rubber looking nice. Isn't that what we are talking about? Keep your rubber looking good!

Fuel Rail - Triple Carbs
Yea, I believe the standard is to run the hoses between the carbs. Mine is already set up for that. Right now I'm going to stick with a custom rail. Perhaps a billet rail in the future...

Fuel Rail - Triple Carbs
It looks like I'm going to lose the triple SU's so Steve can put them back on his car. My Mikuni's will go on next. The fuel rail is something I don't have yet. They are probably going to build me a new rail. I like the looks of the billet style rails on the FI systems. But, do they make a square tube style for the Mikuni's ?

Fuel Rail - Triple Carbs
Does anyone know of a good aftermarket fuel rail for a triple carb setup like the Mikunis? I've been looking around and just wondered if anyone here had some links... I'm probably going to use a custom-built fuel rail put together by Z-Therapy, but, I remember seeing some pretty nice aftermarket billet-style units at the show.

clueless ebay seller
I doubt this is the first guy to sell something, on Ebay, that he knows nothing about... We tried to educate him, but, it didn't work..... My advice is to let it go...

Oh sure, all we need now is another flame war here! Consider this guy might not know as much as we do about this car. We can give him a ton of $^!#, or, simply help him understand what he's got. It's fun to have playful banter, but, don't let it turn into a war.......

Dash Lights and Parking Lights?
I'm not positive on this, but, it's either your switch or another fuse inside the dash. I discovered two additional fuses behind the radio area when I was working on the wiring a few weeks ago. I think one of the fuses is for the radio, but, I am unsure where the other fuse connects. I had the same problem after going to the show this weekend. I'll have to dig around and find it. Let me know if you discover the problem before I am able to give an update.

You guys have it all wrong... If you want to get a reaction from the guy, you have to play his game. If you go for the gut, then he'll start throwing punches back at ya. To get the real story, simply ask a nice question...
