Parting Out '72 240z! What Do You Need!
Guys, please consider moving this to the classifieds. We shouldn't have for sale ads in the forums.

Rear strut top speaker enclosures?
A simple set of speakers that fire forward is an excellent idea. There's probably no need for the separate tweeter because most manufacturers can supply tweeters built on the front of the midrange.

MSA is selling 280Z Eibach springs
Yea, that front end needs to come down an inch or so.

Cool Avatars
I'm sure all of you are looking for various avatars that can be used in your online profile. So, here's a thread so we can share them. These are just a few from my collection. Feel free to post your collection to this thread. The bad thing about looking for avatars on the Internet are all the pop-ups and annoying spyware threats. Here we can share them without fear. Oh, and please make sure they aren't too insulting.

240Z Registered for Barrett-Jackson 2007
She would pull a lot more money out of that car if she got rid of the steering wheel and the flames. Clean car, though.

Rear strut top speaker enclosures?
Good idea on the speaker enclosures, though.. Even if those are just seat belt connections, it would be a pretty sweet place to put speakers. MSA sells a box that installs just in front of the rear tail-lights. It's a replacement for the plastic rear panel and fits two 6x9 speakers. Quality and fit are awesome. I just wish they made a vinyl or a leather version. Will, you've helped out a TON on this club. I'll send you a replacement CD. Send me your shipping info in a PM and I will sent it to you this weekend.

Isn't this modification called a "stroker engine?"

Picture contests?
I don't think we've ever had a winter-Z contest before. Great idea... The photo gallery is set up to do contests like this and it would be a fun thing to do. Let me see if I can set something up in the gallery....

WOW were back on
I'm not sure what's going on with the server. It seems to drop offline overnight and it doesn't come back from the dead. I think it's time we moved to a new box.

Restoration is back on track (with a lot of help)
As far as discounts from Les, I believe he will 'treat you right' because you are part of the club. Do me a favor, tell him you saw his stuff on my restoration.... I told him that I'd say good things about his shop. http://www.classicdatsun.com MSA also offers a discount to our club members. But, they can't get some of the stuff Les can get. Firewall material, the best vinyl pattern, and some others...

Restoration is back on track (with a lot of help)
Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted here in awhile. There has been a lot of things in my life going on recently. Since summer ended, the progress on the Z has been slow. Here are a few updates. I'll try to get some more picts soon. - Interior is complete. - Installed rebuilt wiring harness. - Installed new fuse box from MSA (old one was wrong model). - Battery tray welded in place and painted. - Headlight buckets repaired, painted and installed. - Received new airdam from MSA. - Painted and prepped airdam (still needs to be installed). - Rear panel finished paint. Needs to be mounted. - Ordered and received remaining electrical parts. - Soldered and identified most under-dash wiring. Still a few to go. - L28 engine & head sent to machine shop for rebuild & new cam. - Purchased and connected new sealed battery. - Tested electrical system. - Rewired turn signal switch. That's about it. In the last few months it has been going slow, but, it's still on the roadmap to be completed before next season.

This is a Great Club
Yes, we've had our moments, but, this club has been very enjoyable over the years. I'm actually enjoying it more as it grows and new people come on board.

Members 240Z on front page of new X-Box game site
Man, I just looked further into this game. It's going to support 720p (high definition) and 5.1 surround sound..... sweet! Release date still says TBA. They sure do like the 350z because it's featured in both of their trailers and on the main banner. I'd like to see some more screen shots of the 240z. Dave, do you think you can ask the developers to send us some snapshots of the 240z ? -- Mike

Dave, I merged your threads together. No sense in having two separate threads about the same topic.

Sweet article on the Forza site. I love the audio clips man... sounds great. I'm definitely gonna have to pick up the game just to hear your car.

Glad to see we're back
Yea, sorry about the downtime... it seems that any of my little 'fixes' end up costing about 2 days of programming time. Here's some more information about the downtime: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?goto=newpost&threadid=23931

Dash Repair Process/Pictures
Excellent job!! Your dash looks great in the photos. Thanks for sharing with the club. You can get a dash redone for approx $400. New dashes, unfortunately, are around $1,500.
