Halz, don't sell it.... my god... you've been on this club forever!!! Don't go! Oh, and don't forget those warm sunny Sunday mornings where you can drive your baby around the rolling hills of Perth. I love that interior! I wonder how much it would cost to ship it to the US? -- Mike

Hey, check out this article I found while at the gym. Does the 2008 350z have a longer nose or is it just that angle? In my opinion, the new design looks less like the toad everyone used to call it. Oh, and the COLOR is absolutely mah-va-lous.... -- Mike

Enrique, That website needs some help. There is no contact information and not much in the way of description of services. Who's running it?

Jim, your links above didn't work. Can you resend them?
  6. Mike posted a post in a topic in Electrical
Nope... I may have a source for that, but, the tool is likely $100+

Yipee... I found some good stuff. Funny thing, it was on THIS website. HA!! http://eagleday.stores.yahoo.net/blco.html

Here's something that is up my alley.. http://www.suresealconnections.com/ Of course, I would LOVE to find all of the original connectors. Hasn't anyone been down this road?

Hey all, Do any of you have a good source for the 10 guage spade connectors under the dash ? I am looking to replace a melted connector and I need to find the male and female spades along with the plastic housings. I am not against going with an aftermarket part, but, I only want the best. The crimp-on cheap-o connectors you can find at the auto parts store won't work for me. I'm thinking about a GM water-tight or equivalent.

So far I've purchased my parts from a variety of sources. MSA, Classic Datsun, Ebay, and the local Nissan dealers. Other parts such as electrical wiring, tape, lube, and such things were purchased from auto parts stores around the area.

I just did a search in our gallery for "carbon" and found it. Ron Carter is the guy. He's an active member and I'm sure he'd be happy to share his experience with you. Here's a link to the photo: http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=1822&si=carbon

I believe we have a photo of a CF dash that someone put together a few years ago. You'll have to search through the galleries to find it. After you find it, send the guy a PM. I don't believe it was an easy mod.

It sounds like you've fixed many of the problems inside the cockpit. Now, you just need to concentrate on the engine area. If I were you, pull that engine and replace all of your injectors. Clean up the engine area and put it all back together.
  14. Hey, next time order them from Motorsport Auto. http://www.zcarparts.com They are usually more careful about that parts they send to you... especially if you're outside the USA. -- Mike
  15. A playlist is usually a separate file that can be put on the CD along with the other music files. Depending on the player, it will find the playlist and start to play the music as it's listed in the playlist.
  16. The original question was in relationship to DJ work, I believe. The Ipod is no doubt, a more convenient way to listen to music. Higher-bandwidth recordings and better encoders can result in some pretty good fidelity for audio compression.
  17. The vinyl is glued down. We actually put a layer of jute behind the vinyl to give it some additional insulation properties. It just didn't look right glued directly to the metal. Carpet and vinyl were purchased from Les Cannaday at Classic Datsun. His stuff took longer to get, but, it was worth it in the end. If you buy from him, please tell him that you talked with us at the club. -- Mike
  18. More updates... take a look at it now. Vinyl showed up and the crosshatch pattern looks so close to stock, I can't believe it. Things are moving along quite nicely.
  19. Hi guys, here's an update. Photos attached show us actually installing the front windshield. Bryon and Steve had done this before, but, it was my first time. The trick is to use a small rope and put it between the rubber before the window is put into place. Once the windshield is in place, the rope can be pulled out slowly from the inside and it sucks the window into position. Put a little windex or soap on the rubber and it will make it a lot easier to work with.
  20. Hey texasz... Call me a dunce, but, if the car didn't come with mounting holes in the frame, how does the ST kit mount to the car without drilling? -- Mike

Another Oregonian! Welcome. What about the warning display lights?
  22. Actually, if he has an early car there is no mount points for a rear sway bar. I was in the same boat. I purchased a MSA kit and it was installed on my car over the weekend. Let me get a few picts for you. -- Mike
  23. I don't recommend using MP3's for DJ work. The bandwidth is too low and I can tell a big difference between CD's (1.2Mbps) and a MP3 (128k-192k usually). MP3's are fine for portable players and car stereo's, but, when you want to hear some high-quality music, nothing beats a true CD. That said, I believe the format of the directory structure does matter on some players. I would consult your user manual for the player you're working with. I know that I copied a bunch of MP3's to a CD and put them in my stock deck and it didn't work. The stock deck does have a "MP3" logo on the front, so, I know it supports them. Please post if you find something on this. I would like to know as well. -- Mike

Yea, I agree. The one showing the drivers side window is a pretty nice angle. I'll look at putting that up over the weekend.
  25. Or, just go to his website: http://www.classicdatsun.com PLEASE tell Les Cannaday (owner) that you heard about his shop from our website.
