Anyone think this couple is still together? If she didn't kill him, I bet her Dad had a bit of a working over with a bat.. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=14743&cat=532&page=1

Ditto... I am glad there is a Z magazine that features early Z's at all. The magazine is very well done and it has survived for this long... The publishers are going where the money is. Wouldn't you? I mean, it's not cheap to publish a magazine and pay for salaries. Start spending more money on early Z stuff.... attract advertisers..... write articles..... keep the subscription.... etc. It's really a catch-22. If you stop paying for the subscription, the potential market declines. And, this means that early-Z advertisers won't pay ... I seriously doubt that revenue from subsriptions keeps the magazine going. It's the advertising. It's the same problem we have here at the websites. If you want to see more early Z stuff... CONTRIBUTE. Either help out by subscribing, write some articles, or help by giving information about the mag to Zcar businesses. And, don't forget our website... we are looking for a big supporter to keep us going. Midwest Z was helping a lot, but, we know they just slipped off the face of the earth. Anyway... my point is that stopping your subscription will actually harm the issue more than help it. If you want to see more earlyZ info... write to these guys. Hell, RAZ1 is part of the magazine... We also have a forum for the mag here....

I just looked at your gallery... are you having this problem on the green Z? If so, those are the idential mags I had with the problem.
  5. Mike posted a post in a topic in Suspension & Steering
Halz, I had this same problem a long time ago. I was using the old slotted aluminum mags that had a post-type lugnut (NOT rounded and self centering). I also tried the balance on the car technique but it eventually came back. It wasn't until I replaced the wheels with a self centering lugnut design that the problem went away.
  6. You guys need a gallery on this site for this show? We can give you a special directory so you can upload photos into it.... I'd love to see them !!

I think the speakers in the headrest give it an excellent option....

How about a small tap on the side of his van with a brick?

Do you have comprehensive insurance? Since the vehicle wasn't travelling I wonder if it will be covered under that claim. Did you ask the van driver if they hit you while pointing out the scratch on their rig?

Agreed... They should have started a base-model at $19,500. They would have sold a LOT more cars.

Great poll!! I own a first gen and the latest 350z. I have to say that both of them are unique in their own ways. The base-model 350z has more in common with the original 240z than most people think. While the 240z is fun to drive, the 350z is also fun to drive. I haven't driven a fancy 350z with traction control and all the bells, but, I can say that $27k isn't that bad compared to $37k for a loaded 350z. One identical item? The 350z #$@#$ hatch falls down on your head just like the 240z. Go figure....

Hi guys... I just wanted to chime in here. I don't believe the converstions between anyone on this thread got out of hand. I normally draw the line when flaming becomes personal and drives people away from this site. I don't believe this thread got to a point where either Carl or Alan felt personally attacked. ? I could be wrong, but, this thread is a 'heated' discussion about some very valid points about history. Do continue... I believe it's Carl's round next.... DING, DING.... -- Mike

There are a few chat programs that can be modified to work with our site. They are based as an IRC client using a windows interface. The trouble with this is finding an IRC server to host our channel. I can set up an IRC server, but, it becomes a security issue for me that that point. I only want to allow local IRC client activity through our website. If anyone knows about setting up IRC servers on Linux, please send me a PM. The various packages I've seen for website IRC require a pay-server back-end.

  18. ... Some of the advice is also questionable. FYI, I thought it was halarious. I had to take a double take on it at first. But, anyone dumb enough to do it deserves the pain afterward. Besides, a .22 wouldn't do that much damage anyway. You'd need to use a .45 to get a better effect. PS: On your way to club baby seals...

Cops usually try to get you with some kind of hard evidence like radar or laser. Pacing usually works too although it's more difficult to prove. But, when they walk up to your car and ask you a question like, "Do you know how fast you were going?"... If you tell them how fast... even if it's a small bit over the speed limit... they have you by ADMISSION OF GUILT. My advice... always tell them you were going the speed limit. And a quick reply to your comment... As my Dad used to say, "If others were jumping off a bridge... would you?"

  23. I'm surprised the host-hotel is that far away. There is an "Extended Stay America" within walking distance to the show. That is where I stayed a few years ago. It was nice because I didn't rent a car. I am *TRYING* to see if I can make it this year. But, it doesn't look very likely. I love that show.....

Any idea where I can get one of those Scarab vents?

The attachment shows up just fine. It looks like you attached a MS Word .DOC file with the image inside of that. If you attached a graphic file (.JPG, .GIF, etc) it would have shown up as a little thumbnail. Anyway, thanks for the image! I like it!!
