Yea, I want to see more pictures of that sweet ride. She's one of my favs.
  2. This is absurd. Indian Larry died doing what he loved. It's not the fault of the State that he wasn't wearing a helmet. He made a choice to not wear one and he paid the ultimate price for that decision. That was his right. The only reason seat-belt and helmet laws exist is to create additional revenue.

Hi Steven, I immediately thought of you when those pictures went up in the gallery. However, I must admit that all of the good things said with the images were pretty flattering! None the less, it's still your car and you can go outside and drive it. I still love all of those pictures, they were nicely done.

  5. It's dumb that the seller won't send it to you. Priority mail is totally easy to figure out. Oh well. I hope Ed is able to do it for you.
  6. I actually considered this option as well. The nice part about going with a painted surface is you can identify problems when they occur. If you used a bedliner product, the problems will be hidden by the rough (and thick) surface until it's too late to see the problem. When I say 'problem' I am mainly referring to RUST. Anyway, if someone ever wants to buy your car, you might need to do some explaining as to why you went with the bedliner material. This is due to the fact that many owners try to "cover up" problem areas some way or another. Another reason to NOT go with a bedliner is dirt and water... I've noticed that bedliners can look dirty because of all the little bumps and texture. They basically hold the dirt and require cleaning. A painted surface can simply be wiped clean. There are a few arguments against the bedliner. I suppose there are also arguments FOR the bedliner such as a durability.

I've heard a lot of good things about Charlie Osbourne's shop in Canada (Zedd Findings). He contacted me once about sponsoring the site and I failed to follow up with him. If anyone talks to him, mention that we are looking for another good sponsor. I'll have to dig up his number. -- Mike

Guys, I think this is put to rest. I just received a cancellation from Midwest Z. They are no longer sponsoring the site. Whatever happened to the company, I hope the people are ok. Midwest Z was our biggest sponsor. -- Mike

  11. Good news! I'm sure UNC will appreciate the fact that you are taking care of his ride by only selling it to an avid Z fan. I raise my glass to you. -- Mike

The 240z list is a small group of guys that doesn't want to wade through all the stuff on the site or worry about lots of non-Z content. 99% of all messages are related to the 240z in some way. No need to open the web browser, just small conversations in email. -- Mike

The long-nosed Z was created for 'testing' purposes and isn't a production model. I found a magazine with the article between flights one day. I'll look for it.

That doesn't really tell us much. Perhaps the new owners don't know how to do it? Or, if Chloe came down with a fatal disease then her relatives might be running it. Who knows...

Hi guys, here's an update. Sorry about the list but it went down when the server was reformatted. I am working on getting it back online, but, the mailing list software is a bear to configure properly with our new system. I am having difficulties because we are now set up with "virtual" accounts and making it work with the mailing list software is not that straight forward. I'll pull out my toolbelt and get it going again soon. -- Mike

I agree with you. It would only take a second to introduce themselves. However, consider this. Perhaps the new owner does not know how to use a website like ours. And, perhaps they do not understand what it takes to run the business like Chloe did. Who knows. Anyway, we have no idea if it has been sold or what has happened. So, all of this discussion is purely speculative. Hope nobody reading this thinks this is what happened. We are simply guessing at this point. -- Mike
  19. The max image size for the photo gallery is XGA (1024x768 in pixels). It's measured as width x height. The forum attachment limit is the same. You can download many graphics programs to resize images (I noticed a link was attached to this thread).

Hey guys, I don't know what's happening with Midwest Z. But, it would be nice to know some kind of status update. However, I don't believe it is the responsibility of our members to find these answers. I encourage those of you who are concerned to wait for answers rather than continuing to send emails or phone calls. If there is a new owner, it will be a big job to take over and continue where Chloe left off. If this is the case, we will hear from them soon. If not, we won't hear anything and life will go on. IMHO, I hope things are OK with this situation. I can only guess that something tragic happened to Chloe to stop so suddenly. She had a strong niche in the Z-community and all of us appreciate a good business like this. -- Mike
