Hey guys... you can discuss the 240k in here. A single forum just for you.

You guys can choose multiple selections.... If you own(ed) two cars, a 240z and a 280z, then select them both. Isn't a fairlady a 240z ?
  3. Hiya, I recommend getting some kind of EFI schematic. I think I might have one laying around here in digital form. The FI system on these cars is quite complex and has various safety devices that keep it from spurting fuel... I debugged a '75 280z EFI system and found some useful information.... Start at your fuel pump. If that's running, work your way to the front of the car. The fuel pump should start to pump when you turn the key on...... You'll need a helper. -- Mike

Just wondering what are members are either driving today, restoring, working-on, or have owned in the past......
  5. If you guys are taking pictures with a digital camera... I have a hint for you. Open your manual or look at your camera to see if you have a "macro" mode... This will let you get close to the model and take the picture. Normal mode is typically 3+ feet from your target. Macro mode will allow you to get closer and the camera will focus better. Most cameras identify macro mode with a little flower.
  6. It's a realistic model, just look at the rust in the doors!!
  7. I found a pretty awesome model. It's a modified die-cast 240z made to look like it's a junker... Pretty sweet. These are created one-by-one by individual artists... I couldn't pass it up.

  9. Gary, what about the one from 'Precision Replacement Parts' ? It usually comes in a kit form... but, you can buy them separately. Give the guys at Z-Therapy a call.

Congrats on the car Evo1.... Hope you enjoy it... don't forget to come back when you have questions about it.
  11. Let us know what you think of the set.... I'd be interested.
  12. Do you have more details about this car? A digital photo is also good to show people what you are selling.
  13. Nice..... tell us how you like the car!! I'd love to see some picts in here too.

Yes, your assumptions are correct. The vinyl is folded over where they match. And, the vinyl has a small amount of foam padding between it and the metal above and on the sides of the window. The vinyl is glued and wrapped around the metal edges in that area. You might want to browse through the galleries to see if you can find some pictures in there. However, that might take all day. Perhaps someone from the site could take a few picts for you ? -- Mike
  16. I've always purchased a glass scraper for that job. Be careful not to score the aluminum too deeply.

Anyone going to see the NASCAR races weekend of March 5, 6, 7 in Vegas? Maybe we could get together. I'll be there !!
  18. According to the vehicle registration here in the USA, it's age that defines a classic. 20 years old and you have a classic car. Something like that....

Yeah!! That's why we put it together! Glad it was a helpful tool for your project. As far as the lights go... there have been many threads about resistance caused by the fuse block itself. So, you might want to pull it out for a good inspection. That baby is an essential part of a wiring system, if you have a bad one then you'll be in for a lot of frustration. If you have the cash, buy one of the new circuit board replacements by MSA. If you are poor like most of us, you might want to debug the system by removing one piece at a time. Make sure you go out and buy a CASE of replacement fuses. -- Mike

Who 'notified' you about this? Don't destroy your work... that is absurd. The internet is a place for free-expression. If your service provider will not host your information, go somewhere else. Always keep a copy of the site on your local computer just in case. If I were you, just keep developing it. Obviously someone is jealous of your talent. Keep going, it looks good. This is my opinion. -- Mike

Hi all, I'm in need of a L28. My current engine was sitting so long that it needs a lot of work. Looking for something that is known to be good (ie: no blown gaskets, leaks, etc). -- Mike

Yes, it's true that Nissan got a low score for the interior parts in the 350z. I really wish they would fix that problem because it seems to have been passed down to their new truck (Titan) as well. Car & Driver rated the Titan #1, but, they got low scores for interior. It looks "plastiky and cheap"
  24. Excellent progress on this!! I love the pictures. This will certainly come in handy for someone else someday.

You guys have to realize that we are also in a different era where laws (created by man) are causing this problem. Creature comforts and ammenities also add to this equation. Also consider that a crapload of emissions were designed to be part of the cars performance. The emissions that we think of (from the '70's) were simply bolted on to the car as an after-thought. Thus, they greatly reduced power and affected performance. We can't do anything about the laws. But, we can add a bigger engine. Nissan needs to build a supercharger/turbocharger for this car .... maybe form something with Stillen?
