Might Sell 1970 240z with BRE motor
What part of Bulgaria are you from? One of my work buddies is from Bulgaria (native) and he's shocked to see that we have a Z member from that country. Not a lot of Z's in Bulgaria unfortunately. You should post some photos of your car, it would be fun to show him. Mike

1988 Shiro Special on BAT
I remember seeing a car like this in the Nissan showroom in 1988 when I was buying parts for my '71. It would be fun to have if I had a bigger garage.

1988 Shiro Special on BAT
Saw this today on BAT. Looks like a decent condition 1988 300ZX, if you're into these cars it looks like a well-kept ride. http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-nissan-300-zx/ This 1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo shows 89k miles and is one of about 1,000 Shiro Special Editions sold in the US. The car is powered by a turbocharged 3.0 liter V6 paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and remained with its original owner until purchased by the seller three years ago. The Shiro Special was only produced in 1988 and weighed 125 pounds less than a standard 300ZX Turbo by doing away with many of the electronic features. It was equipped with Moon Glow Pearl White paint, Recaro seats, conventional suspension, analog instruments, and a viscous limited slip differential. This example is sold with a clean AutoCheck and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.

Flash Video Ads - Block them
These are forced placement ads and I do not run them on our site. It's a great way to bring in extra revenue but it really ticks people off. I figured we want to keep our members happy rather than force an ad placement. Only problem is, we have to rely on our members to help pay for the site which is not as easy as it sounds. Hotmail is a free service, I think they are showing all of the ads to offset the cost of providing the service to everyone.

T'was the Night Before Christmas
T'was the night before Christmas and out in the garage, No trace of a Chevy, Ford, or a Dodge. The presents were wrapped and the lights were all lit, So I figured I'd work on the Z car a bit. I popped the release and lifted the hood, When a deep voice behind me said "That looks pretty good." Well, as you can imagine, I turned mighty quick, And there, by the workbench, stood old Saint Nick! I stood there a bit, not to sure what to say, Then he said. "I don't suppose you'd trade for my sleigh?" "No way, Santa" I said with a grin, "But if you've got the time we can go for a spin!" His little round mouth, all tied like a bow, Turned into a smile and he said "Sure! Let's go!!" So as not to disturb all the neighbors' retreat, We quietly pushed the car to the street. Then, taking our places to coast down the hill, I turned on the key and let the clutch spill. The sound that erupted took him by surprise, But he liked it a lot, by the look in his eyes. With tires' screaming and exhaust aglow, We headed on out to where the Hot Rodders' go. And Santa's grin widened, approaching his ears, With every shift as I banged through the gears. Then he yelled "CAN'T RECALL WHEN I'VE FELT SO ALIVE!" So I backed off the gas and asked Santa to drive. Ol' Santa was stunned when I gave him the keys, When he walked past the headlights he shook at the knees! The old Z exploded with a sweet exhaust sound, Then Santa popped the clutch and the tires scarred the ground! Power shifting into second, and again into third! I just hung on, watching, at a loss for words, Then I heard him exclaim as we blasted from sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and what a great night!"

Which head is best..
Well for sure NOW it's a recent topic. I think it probably popped up because I added the survey block to the main forum page. This is the last post we had in the survey forum back then. We've had other surveys but they weren't in a dedicated forum like this. Anyone want to start a new survey to override this one?

MSA short shifter fix
Ah, ok I didn't know there was a transmission-side update too. It would be good to get this feedback to MSA. I'm tagging @James@TheZStore to see if we can help them get this part updated.

MSA short shifter fix
I don't know much about this short throw shifter, but, something doesn't look right to me in the comparison between the shifters. The old one looks like it has a short length between the pin and the knob where it enters the transmission. Does that work in your installation, or, did you pick up a shifter for a 240z perhaps? There is definitely a difference between the 4-speed and later 5-speed transmissions. If you've done a 5-speed swap you'll know what I'm talking about. I had to modify my shifter to get the 5-speed to work with my '71 240z.

Mini 12V Booster Packs
Only advice I have is to steer clear of the cheap-o bargain bin units. These units are typically holding Lithium Ion (or Polymer) batteries and those can catch fire if not designed correctly. Just ask Samsung and Hover Board. I haven't used one yet, but, the marine shops I frequent have a brand called Noco. Looks like a good option and reviews aren't bad. The marine environment is pretty harsh for these kinds of things, so they typically carry good quality items. https://www.amazon.com/NOCO-GB40-UltraSafe-Lithium-Starter/dp/B015TKUPIC/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482288515&sr=8-2&keywords=noco
