Parts on the wall, take one down, pass it around

Another interesting shot of all the parts I took off and had sandblasted. -
Circa 1998
From the album: 1971 240z Jedi
Here's a good one. Two years after I created the Internet 240z Club. Which, eventually became the Classic Zcar Club you see now. Sitting in my 1971 240z after going through the entire frame with a cheap gravity fed sandblaster. Those were the days. - Hi from Iowa

What's in YOUR garage?
It is trailerable, but, you'd need a dual-axle truck to pull it! She's moored on Lake Union so let me know when you're in the area and I'll take you out on a cruise.

What's in YOUR garage?
Picked up a Lexus LX470 a few years back when I was living in Oregon. Great truck! Now that I'm in Seattle I may have to rethink the DD. Last image is a new toy we picked up for camping in the summer. Neither will fit in my garage.

Who's been MIA?
Wow, what an overwhelming response to the thread! It's so good to hear from everyone even with the good and bad. We are a small niche community and it doesn't go without notice if you're gone. I'm so glad that we moved to this new software and have this new ability to call people back to check in. @FastWoman may need help with her car in VA, so hopefully we have some people in the area who can help her out. Cancer is a bad thing and most of us past 40 have had some exposure be it with a friend, coworker, or relative. There are others we are missing and have lost. My best wishes and prayers go out to all of you. We started this club around people, and we will keep it that way. Thanks for being a part of this fun place.

By the way, you can add the AT symbol (@) and it will tag a member in a conversation. If you do this, the system will send them an announcement.

Who's been MIA?
I want to know what's happened to @Kyle, @go z racer, go, @hls30.com, @beandip, @2ManyZs, @billcapp, @Ken, @SoCalZ, @ron carter, @byunique, @kmack, @Mr Camouflage, @Victor Laury, @Gav240z, @Z-point, @zfreak72, @mmagnus, @V8-240Z, @hmsports, @zztom, @Saint, @mperdue, @JLPurcell, Thomas Bond, etc etc etc... Sorry about the list, if you are or not on it... I just went through a lot of the early registrations since we moved to the very old site back in 1999. I was also trying to remember some of the very active people back in the day ~10-15 years ago. I know that Victor Laury is good, so is hls30.com. I also heard from billcapp tonight. Jerry Lynn did some excellent artwork for us, and Thomas Bond did our logo. All of these gents are MIA... hopefully they get the email from the tags I put in above and let us know they are OK. Mike

The sudden death of my closest friend Enrique Scanlon (EScanlon)
Guys I split the new topics about others to a new thread in order to preserve this thread for Enrique.. Here's a link to the new topic.

Who's been MIA?
I have exchanged emails with him and will send another tonight to check in. Not sure where Phillip went. Bryan and I were going to check in to see if all is ok with him. Yea, Carl's passing was sudden as well, wow has it really been nearly 10 years? Yikes. He was also a very active member.

Also keep in mind the exchange rate will fluctuate. The USD is pretty strong right now. @HLS30 have you seen this? I know you may still have some contacts in Japan.

Japanese 1/8 scale fairlady kit
Ok, I did some translation using my phone and Google Translate. It's a bit of work to translate the whole site, but, I'll see what I can do. I did find an order page. The model looks like a subscription-type program. You will receive a weekly delivery consisting of a magazine and a few parts. Each delivery is 1,790 yen which is about $15.15 USD. From what I can tell so far, they have 100 deliveries. I could be wrong, but, will have to look at this more later on (some issues may be less expensive like it says for issue #1). If there are 100 deliveries, it would put the total cost just over $1,500.

Japanese 1/8 scale fairlady kit
The video is a link from Youtube, so, I wouldn't expect a military system to block it. But, who knows. As far as translation, it might be more difficult than I thought because the website is compromised mostly of images. I just put it through my translator and it didn't do much.

Japanese 1/8 scale fairlady kit
I stumbled across this very cool scale model kit of the fairlady Z in 1/8 scale. The website is in Japanese but there should be a way to translate using online tools. The kit looks fairly detailed and from what I can tell, also comes with magazines and a lot of great photographs. I'll do some more digging but feel free to add your findings below. I'd especially like to hear from any of our Japanese reading/speaking friends. Here's a link to the website in case you missed it in the video: http://www.fairladyz-collection.jp/
