Help!
Hi Jerry. I just approved all of your photos. What size finally worked for you? I noticed they are pretty small. The image upload limit is 1MB each, which is pretty big, but, I wonder if I should up that limit... Update: I checked the gallery and it looks like the maximum file size is 30MB! But, the image size limit was 1024x768. I just changed the image size limit to 2048x1536. This is a 3 Megapixel imgage size.

Looking to buy 240, 260, or 280. Anyone selling? Know of good sites to look?
Did you try craigslist and our own classifieds ? Click classifieds from the main menu.

FS - Left handed Fender Stratocaster.
Okay, this is Z related because the money will go towards the car. But, this should be in the classifieds. I'm closing it.

The Internet Z Car Club (IZCC)
I've also set up an article system on our site that supports HTML code. It is very simple to move data from one site to another using this system. Check out the samples here: http://www.classiczcars.com/modules.php?name=Content This method allows anyone to post an article and make it searchable in our system. The best thing about it is the HTML support -- which the forums do not support.

The Internet Z Car Club (IZCC)
Guys, I will never let IZCC die. The mailing list may be slow because of all the forums around these days. But, Carl's website is FULL of excellent information. If Carl ever needs help, a new host, or just moving the data around, I would be glad to help out and put it on our server for free. FYI, our local member, Carl Beck, is the founder of IZCC. -- Mike PS: Our member numbers are different than IZCC.

Z car magazines
Guys, I know the editor very well and the magazine recently went through a business redesign. The same people who brought you Sport Z are also doing Nissan Sport. It will continue to have early Z coverage. If you want to see more early Z coverage, consider donating your time and help the guys put together some interesting data. We have a dedicated forum just for the magazine where you can post questions to the editor. Here's a link to their forum: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=134 -- Mike

Garage car lift
I would think you need to anchor the 4-post lift to the floor as well. What's to keep the bottom legs from kicking out if there weren't bolts into the floor? The 'racking' tendency would also cause me to worry (if it wasn't bolted down). I like the idea of a 2-post for working on wheels/suspension and things. But, the 4-post seems more convenient as you can simply drive the car onto the rack and push the button. In either case, a lift would be pretty sweet. My only problem is ceiling height. Can you use one of these in a 8' garage efficiently? I'd think you need at least 10'-12' ceilings. -- Mike

Rear strut top speaker enclosures?
A simple set of speakers that fire forward is an excellent idea. There's probably no need for the separate tweeter because most manufacturers can supply tweeters built on the front of the midrange.

MSA is selling 280Z Eibach springs
Yea, that front end needs to come down an inch or so.

I'm sure all of you are looking for various avatars that can be used in your online profile. So, here's a thread so we can share them. These are just a few from my collection. Feel free to post your collection to this thread. The bad thing about looking for avatars on the Internet are all the pop-ups and annoying spyware threats. Here we can share them without fear. Oh, and please make sure they aren't too insulting.

240Z Registered for Barrett-Jackson 2007
She would pull a lot more money out of that car if she got rid of the steering wheel and the flames. Clean car, though.

Rear strut top speaker enclosures?
Good idea on the speaker enclosures, though.. Even if those are just seat belt connections, it would be a pretty sweet place to put speakers. MSA sells a box that installs just in front of the rear tail-lights. It's a replacement for the plastic rear panel and fits two 6x9 speakers. Quality and fit are awesome. I just wish they made a vinyl or a leather version. Will, you've helped out a TON on this club. I'll send you a replacement CD. Send me your shipping info in a PM and I will sent it to you this weekend.

Picture contests?
I don't think we've ever had a winter-Z contest before. Great idea... The photo gallery is set up to do contests like this and it would be a fun thing to do. Let me see if I can set something up in the gallery....

WOW were back on
I'm not sure what's going on with the server. It seems to drop offline overnight and it doesn't come back from the dead. I think it's time we moved to a new box.

Restoration is back on track (with a lot of help)
As far as discounts from Les, I believe he will 'treat you right' because you are part of the club. Do me a favor, tell him you saw his stuff on my restoration.... I told him that I'd say good things about his shop. http://www.classicdatsun.com MSA also offers a discount to our club members. But, they can't get some of the stuff Les can get. Firewall material, the best vinyl pattern, and some others...
