site with some microfiche
Those microfiche images are terrible quality. Our CD is much better quality and easier to use. http://www.classiczcars.com/modules.php?s=&op=modload&name=Zcar_Microfiche_CD&file=index

Z commercial
Yea, I've seen it. In fact, we helped create that commercial. Take a look in the old news area. We helped the producers come up with a good list of license plate sayings from our members.

How old are you?
Hmm... I've been told that any decade change can involve quite a bit of change in your life. Meaning, age 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, etc... things will change for you within a few years of that actual number. I actually believe this theory. My life has actually changed a lot for me since age 30. It's about to change again.

How old are you?
:tapemouth Hahaha... Yea, I'm just playin. I actually get that a lot. People see me as much older and then suddenly realize that I'm immature and childish when they meet me. I'll take that any day. Life is too complicated with all these so called adults running the world. Nothing like remembering back to the day when you thought you could do anything. It's all a frame of mind. Right?!

S California - '73 240z for sale - original owner
Oh yea... sometimes people do that because of "website scanners" that are used to rip out email addresses. Believe it or not, people frequently set up software to scan websites like ours for valid email addresses. They rip the emails and then send you SPAM. To avoid this, just make sure you post your email with some kind of preventive measure like this. Let's say your email is frank@hotmail.com. You can make your address non-detectible by these scanners by using these formats: 111frank@hotmail.com (remove the 111 to send mail) frank at hotmail dot com frank@removeme.hotmail.com frank.removeme@hotmail.com etc You sorta get the idea. That's why he did this.

Original owner? Minimal rust? This car sounds like a steal. Who's gonna go buy it before some kid gets it and slams it up against a truck?

Sounds like an awesome deal! That car looks pretty good from the pict. Who's jumping on this one? (I edited your message a bit and removed the un-necessary crud to make it easier to understand)

Z.com is up and running....
Yea, seems like a lot of sites are going to that dark background with lighter text. It's ok, but, I prefer the lighter sites. I guess it all depends on the theme or overall perception of the site content. I understand about the budget thing... just givin all of you a hard time. :cheeky: Me? Internet connection is one of the top on my budget list. It never gets cut. Probably because I don't have a life.

Z.com is up and running....
Flash should be abandoned? Or should we look at abandoning dial-up?! For the cost of two phone lines, you can have a nice fat pipe to the internet. Broadband is $40/month in most areas and I still can't believe people use the dia-up approach. C'mon people! Catch up! You can even get internet on your cell phone now. Not to mention pictures, games, GPS, play songs, etc...... Take your cable television (or satellite) bill and cancel the service. Who needs TV. Well, at least keep the Discovery Channel and Speed Vision subscription.

Tranny won't go back in?!?
So, let's take a look at what needs to happen when you slide a tranny into the engine. Transmission shaft must align with two things: clutch teeth and pilot bushing. Take it one step at a time. 1) Does your clutch teeth slide down the tranny shaft easily? You might need to remove it and push it up and down the shaft to make sure. 2) Does the tranny shaft tip fit easily into the pilot bushing? If these two items are ok, then you have something else blocking the bellhousing. Are all of these parts stock or did you buy aftermarket or high performance parts?

Tranny won't go back in?!?
Don't force it !! That tranny should slide right in after you get past the frustrating part. Pull it out and make sure you didn't do something to that pilot bushing. Are you using the bushing or did you buy an upgraded version with the bearings? You might also have to put the tranny in gear so that it will rotate when you rotate the outter housing. Right now it might be sitting still while you rotate the housing and not lining up. BTW: I've changed many clutches in my day and I've never used an alignment tool. I simply align the clutch disk by holding it up on the outer edge of the pressure plate.

Send your business to Troy Thacker. He's one of our supporters. And, they also have hard-to-find items that might not be available at some of the mass marketing guys.

Car register[s]?
Yea, this is a good idea. But, I don't want to re-invent the wheel. Carl has done a lot of work on this, so, I'll approch him to see if it can be updated.
