Ah, it's likely that I have to go into each article and update the URL for the linked content. It's all still here, the links just changed since we moved over to the current software platform years ago. This is a good reason why I kept the old site alive. It may take a few solid weeks of work to get everything updated and I've been doing it as I have spare time. ? FYI, the link you want to use for the current site is: https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/31615-280zx-distributor-advance-curve-reference/ Basically add https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/ to the front of the title. And it looks like there's a new ID, so, that will have to be updated too. I have better luck simply searching for the title "280zx distributor advance curve reference" and I can find it easily.
  2. Nice, I like the wagon with the golden skeleton.. ?

I love this kind of creativity! Thanks for posting, Joseph!
  4. No no no no... not appropriate for testing. They should use their own equipment for that purpose.
  5. Awesome! Very fun stuff, nice work. Grabbed a snapshot.
  6. This does look like a good deal. HOWEVER, be warned the condition of this car will likely chew through the rest of your budget and then some. You will likely spend more like another $10k-15k if you include bodywork and paint. Go into this project with a plan and you'll have a great time!
  7. Lookin good!

@Patcon If he's finding it difficult to create groups on these sites, I can offer him a group here on our site. We have a way to create mini clubs within our main walls and provide access to those who join. You can see a few examples here: https://www.classiczcars.com/clubs/ Each club can have their own set of members, a gallery, forums, etc (just like our main club). I'd offer it to him and the other members for no cost. Just let me know.. Thanks. Mike

@NVZEE, it looks like you need to open your account on yahoo.com and click the verify account link.

Hi @NVZEE, apologies for the delay I've been spending time with family this morning. I'm looking at it now. As far as the email thing, the system automatically locks your account if the email address comes back with an error (or bounce). This is likely what happened. I'll respond to your tickets now. But, all looks good because you're posting now... ? Mike

  16. Ah, got it. I removed my links. Your quote "Pushed into buying wheels and tires quickly (not good). " had me thinking you were looking at buying new. Good luck.
  17. The best fitment I've seen so far is a 205/55/16 -- which is a 16" wheel. You can search until you're blue in the face, but, I recommend VTO or Panasport wheels. I went with the VTO Classic-8 GTR wheels as you can see in my gallery below. I am a bit bias toward using VTO because they give a club discount and the wheels are less expensive. Nonetheless, I did a ton of research and the size fits very well in stock fenders. The ride quality is not too harsh with this tire. Good luck!
  18. I did find this website with more information about recommended jetting. It does have recommendations for 240z-280zx. https://www.upgrademotoring.com/performance/mikuni/mikuni_jettingparts.htm
  19. From what I've seen, tuning Mikuni's is a 'process' of its own. When I had mine installed, the guys at Ztherapy had to play around a bit with jet sizes to get them to work correctly. Steve had a small kit (with different jet sizes) and was experimenting until it was tuned properly. My car has a mild cam upgrade and a L28 block. He was able to tune it to work with my driving style. Results will vary depending on what you want to do with the car. If it's a daily driver, you'll use one set. But, if you are racing track, there will be a different set. I don't know where to get the different jets, or even a kit, but, it may be worth a call to someone experienced with the carbs. That said, after the main tune up, I haven't had to touch the carbs since.
  20. Did you check the wiring diagram? Here's the link:
  21. Hi John, glad to see you got it listed. I'm sure you'll find an owner for the car soon. It looks to be in great condition. Here's an image for the front page.
