Would you guys be interested in an auction-type capability with our classifieds? The current system has 'offers' but not auction capabilities (yet)... I would think that BAT would be the best place to sell a Z at auction these days, but, I haven't listed a car for sale there yet. I don't know what the experience is like. If we had it here, this could be another venue to sell Z's...

@JLPurcell, let us know if you bought it... ?
  4. None of these wrinkles on mine... even back in 98 when I had the Z sandblasted. Although I do see some bodywork in that area. Maybe these were smoothed out with filler? Enjoy the before and after shots...

Does anyone still have a source for the OEM style or are they thousands of dollars by now? Mike

Yep, this is a right of passage for any Z owner.. I believe there was a loaner puller tool floating around for a few years. Anyone know what happened to it?
  7. Added to the calendar! This time, let's plan ahead and get everyone together.

The 2020 convention will be held in Franklin, TN -- September 14-19, 2020. Plan ahead and be there! Host hotel (at this time) is the Embassy Suites .. more to come as the event planning unfolds! Here's a pic of the presentation from the 2019 event.
  9. Wow!! Congratulations gentlemen.. Just think, you're giving new life to the once dreaded flat top carbs. Touche! m

Nice work! You may be interested in putting them in the classifieds so it's easier to find.
  11. Amazing, another 6-figure sale..
  12. I really like the looks of the green on brown Z in the middle of those pics. Anyone know the owner? Need more pics of it.. ?
  13. Very cool. If any of you are interested in uploading all your images after the show, I can make a gallery area for it. Just let me know. Would like to see the images! Mike
  14. Funny how things are turning around though. There once was a time that people searched far and wide to find the cheapest deal. Now people seem to be searching far and wide to find the best quality. There are good products that come out of China. Just reach into your pocket and look at your mobile phone. Manufacturers can no longer build disposable crap. I have a feeling the new generations will shift things back. Don't blame government, blame the consumer.
  15. Yuck! They should have at least put in one of those Retro Sound radios.. or I guess installing nothing in that area leaves it open for new owner to install whatever they want. I don't like that 3-dial A/C control panel at all.. it looks unfinished.
  16. I didn't read the description, but, did they explain the reason for the three dials where the radio should be located? It doesn't seem that Nissan would make that kind of modification..
  17. Kats, these concerns aren't just limited to cars and parts. Just look at household appliances, home construction materials, etc, etc.. Who do we blame? The manufacturer, or the majority of consumers who wants to buy these things for the cheapest price? In my old age, I'm starting to focus more on quality/workmanship of well made (and typically expensive) products. It's a lot easier to appreciate...

  20. https://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com/locationtime/ 14 years ago a group of Southern California car enthusiasts got together with the idea of putting on a new event – one that would celebrate vintage Japanese automobiles and the culture that surrounds them. At the time this was a pretty bold idea, as classic Japanese cars had yet to reach mainstream acceptance. Fast forward 14 years, JCCS has become one of Southern California’s premier car gatherings. In recent years the event has grown right alongside the popularity of classic Japanese cars themselves. It is and remains to be America's First and Original Japanese Car Show, Dedicated to Old School Japanese Cars. JCCS recognizes that time marches on, and that yesterday’s new car becomes today’s classic with the passage of time. As the years rolled on, we felt that our 1985-generation limit had grown too constrictive. And so, we announced that we are allowing cars built through 1995 (and later cars of that generation) since 2018: that means FC RX7s, DC Integras, NA Miatas, Mk3 Supras, R32 Skylines, and “many more” are now eligible to join us on the show field at JCCS. http://www.japaneseclassiccarshow.com/register/

Get the BRE cover. I have it and the fit is wonderful for inside my garage. Mike
  22. Gorgeous!!
  23. Hi @jonathanrussell, yeah I compared to Panasports, Rota, and Konig's. The VTO wheels are very nice option at a medium price point. No real complaints from the shop on mount/balance. From what I can tell, the wheels looked like they balanced up just fine with a minimal amount of weights.
