  1. I've got the Holley electric fuel pump here: https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_systems/fuel_pumps_regulators_and_filters/fuel_pumps/carbureted_electric_fuel_pumps/parts/12-801-1 It's running my triple Mikuni's, but is very loud (especially since it's mounted to the frame). I don't like the noise, but, I can tell when the fuel pump is working. As soon as I turn the key to accessory mode, the fuel pump kicks in and makes a whining noise. I may have to look at the RX7 or the Nismo version. Do any of you have real-life experiences with these pumps (noise, performance) ?

Welcome! I was just in Austin a few months ago. I'll ping you guys next time I'm down that direction.

Wow that's faith in your own product.

Yes, like anything it takes awhile to get it to the place we need. I've been looking at new themes but none of them offer the same kind of flexibility like this one does. I may also go have a custom theme designed based on some of the feedback, so keep the ideas flowing!

Thanks again Takashi, do you see the mobile site again? I just tried on my iPhone and it's working again for me. m

Hi Takashi, sorry I broke the iPhone theme, will fix today. You can post all website questions to us in the website development forum here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forum/62-our-website/ If you select it, you can see all of the new content and forum posts. It doesn't always show you the forum content by default (yet) so sometimes you have to pick "forum" from the left side.

Carl, looks like you can click on the little light switch in the upper left of the edit box. It will toggle between WYSIWYG mode and the "code" mode. You will be able to split the single author quotes using the quote command. I added a split here as an example. If you don't like writing in code mode, you can add your splits and then toggle back and forth. You've always been able to edit someone else's quote, even in the old software, unfortunately. I'm looking into the quoted text issue today.

Text is now black, I actually agree that it's much better as black. Somehow I didn't notice but this is a lot better. Made a few tonight. And, for you I increased the font to the 14pt size. Both of these ideas are actually very good ideas. I couldn't find the font size quickly but after a bit of code searching I found it. I'll think about a solution on the theme... maybe what we need is a few to pick from and then vote on the final design. I don't really want to support more than a single theme because changes can be a bitch... (this font thing is a good example) Anyway, good ideas, keep 'em coming. m

You can fix this by clearing your cache and cookies for this site. Once you do this it will expire any settings you have saved locally. You can then select the theme you want.

Thanks guys. While I cant go back to the old system, I appreciate the comments about how we can improve this new layout. The old site is still available for reference, at http://legacy.classiczcars.com. dp not post over at that site because it's no longer active. But please be sure to let me know in the comments how we can improve this one. Mike

I added a poll. Had to change, old software was way outdated and had major issues with continued development. New software is more secure and easier to maintain.
  13. Good looking set. Can you put it on http://www.datsunclassifieds.com ? Ads are free over there (it's our sister site). m

China can produce some good stuff... Just take a look at the back of your new phone, your suit, your shoes, and your toys. There's good and bad with everything.

  15. SU carb's are essentially the same as the Z. We have a forum here on here, "SU Carb Central" where you can ask all of the questions. Here's a link to the forum: http://www.classiczcars.com/forum/71-su-carb-central/ The forum is maintained by Z Therapy out of Salem, OR. They are pro's at rebuilding and maintaining SU carbs. Here's a link to their site: http://www.ztherapy.com/ Welcome to the site! I'm a little jealous, I miss my roadster. m

Hey INST3D, check out what you can do with that model when you're done. Who wants a full size Z printed in 3D? http://spark.autodesk.com/what-autodesks-partnership-with-local-motors-means-for-3d-printing

I was just browsing the Wikipedia Page about Nissan Z-Cars. From what I can tell we may need to get in there and help the authors a bit more. Any takers? If you quote other websites, such as ours, please be sure to include them in the list of references at the bottom. Here's a link: Nissan Z-car - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  20. Dave supplied me with a sample upgrade harness for my parking lights. Installation was a breeze and doesn't ruin the stock appearance of my car. I like the fact the harnesses are matching and I don't see a lot of spliced cables. I can tell there is a noticeable difference in the brightness of my lights with this harness. Dave went above and beyond with this project and it shows. PS: Motorsport Auto also gives discounts to club members so be sure to tell them you are a member of The Classic Zcar Club. If they ask for a membership number, you can see it in all of your posts (look to the left of my post here) or you can find it by clicking "My Profile" in the upper right of the website.

Ha, yes these rules have changed quite a bit since 2001. 13 years of technology improvements and growth of the site, we can now allow much larger images and image types. I'll probably delete this thread. Thanks for bringing it to my attention Rick. PS: I just "unstuck" it so the thread should fall into the depths of time.

I realize this is a video showing a Mercedes, but, it got me thinking about my first Z. What do you think? Barn finds are a lot of work but very rewarding when you're done! <iframe src="//player.vimeo.com/video/93125699" width="500" height="281" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe> <p><a href="http://vimeo.com/93125699">Mercedes 190SL Barn Find</a> from <a href="http://vimeo.com/coolnvintage">Cool & Vintage</a> on <a href="https://vimeo.com">Vimeo</a>.</p>
