  1. Yes, the round harness one that is behind the headlight bucket and connects the headlight. This would allow Dave Irwin's harness to be plug n play for the 280.
  2. Scan the late 280 headlight harness connector. I know someone with access to the printer.

Very nice! I'll bet the rear window defroster still works! Put back in the original radio, and add the original wheels with covers ... it would be a great stock example.
  4. Steering wheel kit has been SOLD to Dohrem.
  5. Best of luck on your transmission project, but especially best on the approaching storm! Keep us posted if you can.

It is my favorite color! Cliff's tough to out do, (especially in beverages per hour) but I'm tied with him with the silver 240, this would put me over the top. My beloved 280 got lots of love at the local car show last weekend, Zup's beautiful car also took home a trophy. A great day for Datsun's in NW Arkansas!
  7. The Grant Signature wheel is .... 13" in diameter or 330mm. From Grant's website, the same wheel in the 13" diameter ...

Looks like a decent unmolested 75 280z in my favorite color. https://fayar.craigslist.org/cto/d/nissan/6290995514.html
  9. Hey Dave, when you put the 5 speed back in, be sure to replace the clutch pivot ball. Had one break once with no warning. Cheap insurance, MSA has it.
  10. Did have it installed on my 77 280z for a while. (fits all z cars 70 thru 83) All is included, including working working horn button. You need to reuse your nut & washer from the steering shaft. Will look for some pictures of it on the car.
  11. Yes, it is available.

Nice mostly original car. The oil pressure issue is likely the sender - easy fix. Fuel also the sender - not easy to find for the 280's. The fusible link covers have seen better days... still available. A very good oil for the old z cars is Valvoline VR1 10/30 or 20/50. Looks like 110 red, my personal favorite.

Do some research on Hybridz as to your options. As stated, the SBC is the cheapest route to get to your numbers. Best of luck.
  16. Noah, welcome to the site. Usually in your case, assuming you are correct and all fasteners are removed, the leverage from a long bar in the head ports & the rubber mallet method works well. When all else fails, some have used a engine hoist to lift the head off the block. the cars weight will overcome the stiction of the head & block. Patience is the key... best of luck.
  17. He is not running fuel injection Jai, has SU carbs installed so there is no ecu to worry about. Does the car have strong spark when it dies, does not start, and you can crank it?
  18. My foams were from Banzai Motorworks, it's a dramatic difference in firness, 200% +. Since you live up north Steve, put in seat heaters as part of the rebuild for those cool fall days ...

  22. jerz is correct. I liked the raw stainless look & converted mine a few years ago to the 240 style. Purchased new nuts & blades and put the 240 arms on. If I remember correctly, the blade mount was also changed from bayonet to pin style.
