Windshield Sealant
Hardway, is the new glass a PPG windshield? I plan to replace mine soon with the precision gasket. Did the hatch glass last year with OEM Nissan seal, the Nissan windshield gasket price is however, up there, and could not justify it at this time. Looking forward to your results ...

Branson 2017 The Results
The annual Branson Z Fest was held last week, ClassicZcars was well represented with three wins! In the hotly contested stock class, Zup coasted to a victory in 1st place! Mike W's beautiful 260 took 3rd place in street modified and, Best Paint award in the show. Congrats to Jim D & Mike W ! It was a fun time, especially the high speed dramamine run on Friday with 4 S30 cars thru the twisties of Missouri. Mike W will have a good story for his Zcon buddies with this last picture

cold startup without AAR, real world experience wanted
I removed the AAR from my car 8 years ago for strut brace clearance. Normally about 2 or 3 minutes to idle decently without your foot on the pedal. On very cold days, 5 minutes or slightly more. The coolant lines feeding the AAR heater block are another reason to remove it. I had that steel line rust thru and spring a coolant leak one night about 30 miles from home. Fortunately caught the rise on the temp gauge in time, nursed it home with water after cooldown.

1975 280z front struts
I don't know Dave ... but these may be in your future : https://zcardepot.com/suspension/shocks/kyb-front-shocks-struts.html (you just might be the only member on this site running the original non cartridge struts) It is also likely if the rears are the same age, they will be bad as well, and will make the biggest difference.

Spinning My Wheels... (Yet Another Wheel Thread)
What size tires are you running? Tires are Dunlop 205 55 16

Price
79 is a desirable year because it does not have T tops which were introduced the following year. Except for the wheels, appears to be in original condition, including the radio. I would say it's in the 9 to 12K range.

Nissan to start producing classic parts

Dave, I have a set I believe are in good shape. Let me check them later today.

Door Card Skins from Interior Innovations
Looks like they are skins for your existing panels. They look unfinished ... you have to punch the holes for the window winder, handles, lock pull etc. Therefore they should fit any of the S30 coupe cars. I would email them to verify prior to ordering.

Wheel Wells... body colour or black?

75 280z manifolds
Dave, I did this job about 4 years ago on the same studs and had great success with a good set of left hand drill bits. You of course need a reversible drill. I started with a very small bit and worked my way up 3 or 4 sizes and the stud just backed out with the bit. Going slow is the key here. I replaced the studs with higher grade Nissan turbo studs I got from the dealer.

Front end overhaul
Very nice. Which calipers & pads have you gone with? I have a similar setup with the Dynalite forged calipers. The standard street pads I find too soft, they dust too much for my taste. Other than that, I love those brakes.

only running on one carb HELP PLEASE
I think madkaw may have referring to the history of those cheap inline filters with fuel leaks. Especially the Mr Gasket version. Something to do with the glass edges not being finished properly & cutting the seals.. Dorman makes a version that does not have the same flaws.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
- Everyday Driver reviews/drives a 240Z
Watched it last night, nicely produced. Some great scenic shots with the car at speed. I like their format with two test drive reviewers. (of course, it's a 73 ...)- Crashworthiness of a 77 280z
Wow, very sorry to hear about but glad you are ok and on the mend. Rest up & get better soon!- This has Captain Obvious all over it
I'll take it as long as we can have a judged car show on the south lawn once a year... It would be more fun than the annual easter egg roll.- Eibach Progressive Springs
Chickenman, I also have the Eibach Pro's on my 280z. The trick to getting the stance level for me was ... to use the 240z isolators which are shorter, on the rear struts. I have 205 55 16's on Rota's during the summer. - Everyday Driver reviews/drives a 240Z
