Black Dragon Closing
Andreas The final shipping cost on my order today got calculated right at the end of their process, just before you place the order if that helps. My shipping cost actually dropped probably because my zip is fairly close to them. Another possibility is if a member here is close to their location in Lenexa, KS and could pick up the bumper packed by them & then ship it direct to you.

Selling my beloved Z. Where to start?
Sorry to see your beautiful car go up for sale Matt. If you go the Ebay route, someone here can submit it to BAT and you will get that additional exposure for free. I submitted grannyknot's car & it was accepted. Best of luck with your new business venture!

rough running 280 turbo 1981
Have the new injectors been sitting installed in the car for the 3 years? Time to methodically go thru the EFI bible troubleshooting guide.

highway testing
Nice job Dave! Now that you have it well sorted, you should give it a real test and take the drive up to Atlanta to meet up with SteveJ at the Z nationals in Oct. The hot start syndrome usually appears when the car has been shut off for 20 to 40 minutes in hot weather. Not sure how long you gas stop was.

Hesitation after warm engine
He had some fuel related running issues last year when he completed the car. Blue worked his magic on the carbs at Memphis Zcon and corrected the problem. I think he richened up the mixture. Zup has been happy ever since ....

Hesitation after warm engine
SteveJ is right, Zup & I live about 2 hours from Tulsa. Zup's car is a 73 and he runs Dave's HL PL harness with the stock alternator - I can attest that his lights work great.

1983 280zx turbo won't start after shut off
There are many possibilities & with no information on your car or what you have checked ..... Pin 1 on the ecu receives a trigger signal from the coil negative terminal to fire the injectors. (important) The EFI relay must be working to provide power to the system. The ECCS troubleshooting guide in the FSM for the turbo car is an excellent tool to track down the problem.

How Do I hate Rebuilt Components? Brake Booster
Capt. O What about the 10" booster option from a 79-81 ZX? Did you consider that, Zcar Depot has it available. I know originality is not a huge concern on your car. Looking at the cardone boosters, I would want a better option.

parts pricing
Let us know how the Tough One pump works out. 20 bucks! Hopefully the picture showing a cast impeller is accurate - what you get & not a stamped steel one.

1970 Z432 For Sale - California
To me, the Z432 is a rare, important, limited production car, indelibly part of Nissan's Z car heritage. Value is what someone is willing to pay for the privilege of owning one. When nice examples can cross the block at elite sales such as last years Amelia Island & sell for 230k (plus commission), it shows this is a serious collector car, and helps further the growing interest in all the early Z cars.

MSA seat covers
I vote for the flap. I think the flap helps the seat retain its shape with the seat foam long term. Also gives the pleat in the seat more definition. The flap with its rod get pulled thru the foam slot & hog ringed to the seat spring assembly. I used a hole punch to put 3 holes just past the rod & large tie wraps thru the holes to help pull the flap up to the spring assembly and fasten with hog rings. Same for the seat back flap. Hardway's seat threat has a great pictorial for a guide.

Overheating
Not sure where you are in Michigan, there are some ClassicZ members there, amongst them is a trusted senior member @Jeff G 78. He lives near Northville, and could be very helpful to resolve the overheating issue. (Glad that Trump could divert his plane off the campaign trail to come pick you up)

Overheating
Great news that you have a trailer coming to take the car the rest of the way and not risk motor damage. Pull the plugs when you get a chance to see what they look like, and look at the oil on the dipstick. No sign of moisture on either would be good. Best of luck to get home safely.

Overheating
I hope it is not the head gasket. The overheating is the reason he was looking for a Z mechanic in the Davenport IA area yesterday.

Overheating
Zed, this is the very nice 73 that sold on BAT last Thursday. I believe he is the new owner & driving it back from Omaha to somewhere in Michigan. Hopefully no damage was done when it overheated.

Overheating
Check to be sure the lower radiator hose is not collapsed. Radiator plugged & not flowing adequately. i assume there are no visible coolant leaks. Examine the water pump area. Hopefully it is not the head gasket - white smoke from the exhaust.
