240Z Nos Parts On Cl
I would not mind some of that stuff... hood latch plate, datsun emblems, FP block off, maybe some of the weatherstripping. But, gotta watch some of my more frivolous purchases right now. Moving is always expensive.

240Z Nos Parts On Cl
Saw this on the local craigslist, have no idea who the seller is. One of the pix shows what looks the the choke / hand throttle assembly - don't know how rare that is.... https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/pts/4966674338.html

[2015] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Very nice Casey. Glad you got a ride in. Since you are in Canada, I can't help but wonder what shape Blue's yard in in now...

Suspension Redo!
I have the Eibach's with illumina's and like them. If the 240 springs are similar to the 280, remember that the 001's go on the front.

Buying My First 280Z
What Blue said... My guess is it would only impact a condition #1 car anyway. Anything else, the automatic would be viewed as less desirable.

Ngk Bpr6Es-11 Vs Bp6Es-11? Same Gap? Same Effect?
The R's are the resistor plug version. Used to supress radio interference. Mostly AM radio were sensitive to the ignition noise.

Buying My First 280Z
Sunroof was added by dealer to increase profit, or put in later by an owner. Seats have covers, mirrors are not original, no mention of mileage -- which probably means it is not low. A close inspection will show if it is in the 8k price range or lower. I agree with Blue & Site on the 240. Convert it to a 5 speed, get rid of those 45 series tires & rims the teenager put on.

Buying My First 280Z
From the little info in the craigslist ad, it appears to be a #3 condition car in the Hagerty valuation guide. "Needs tires & some minor work" The sunroof is also a downside for me. On the plus side, looks like it has spent its life in the desert region for its life. Looks more like a 8k to 9k car to me.

The 7 led BA9's I purchased from Amazon are 20mm x 12mm. They fit perfect. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BY0ESVC/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2NDSEKXCIOHGL&coliid=IKRCLTS7706ND

My Datsun 280Z "Rustoration"
Very nice Matt! Thanks for the tip on the heat to make the covers more pliable during installation. One of the reasons I am holding off until I move & in early summer will do my seats and the carpet. Looking forward to when you first drive that beautiful car during the nice weather. Maybe take some pictures of it in the Garden of the Gods area ...

Fan Shroud For 72´datsun 240Z Carrying Champion 3 Row Radiator
I have a similar situation to yours. Arizonazcar crossflow aluminum rad, stock fan, no shroud. When stuck in a traffic jam, the temp tends to rise. Mounted in front of the AC condenser & rad, I have a electric pusher fan with a switch I can activate on the console. Have never installed a temp sensor yet for it. Don't need it often, but I like the peace of mind if I get stuck in gridlock on a hot day. Just another option to consider.

Stolen 240Z
From Scot's response on the Ontariozcar site ... "Removed from a storage facility, regrettably not one with security and cameras, anytime in the last couple of months. The last time it was confirmed intact there was in January." This is indeed bad news. Still hope that luck prevails and it is returned to him.

45 Ahmeter Swap With 280Z Voltmeter/ Fuel Gauge On A 1972 240Z
I think i understand where your confusion with the Amp gauge is. It measures total current flow in the circuit it is on, either charging or discharging. Assuming nissan made it an accurate ammeter gauge, it can read up to 45 amps of total current draw in either direction. Unless you install many more accessories, like a set of 4 super oscar driving lights, and 4 more stereo's with amplifiers, with your 60 amp alternator the car will never draw more current than the gauge can show. In other words, you could install a 200 amp alternator and the gauge would be fine, because the cars electrical load will never come close to that. The bigger capacity alternator will just have an easier time keeping the voltage up and the current low for the given load. Hope this helps.

Stolen 240Z
Terrible to hear. What a beautiful car. My best wishes on getting it back, and I hope to god you recover it undamaged.

Drive While You Can
What a great car future today's teenagers have to look forward to. Soon, insurance companies will view a standard transmission as an anti theft device in your car, and lower your premium.

I'm About Done With The %**&ing Efi
One thing no one has mentioned is the BCCD. I made the mistake a few years ago adjusting it trying to "improve" things. Made it about 3 miles, started running pig rich, fouled the plugs, and died at a intersection. Fortunately, I brought the 12mm wrench with me just in case. Anyway, if you have not touched it, maybe unplug the line to it and see if you smell any gas.

[2015] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
When I was in the dash area doing my lighting refresh, I noticed the foam seals on the vent diffuser were shot. Picked up some 1/2" window seal at Lowes, has nice memory foam. Cleaned & replaced the seals. Another "while I was in there deal".

A great time was had with Mark & Geoff at the Lee Hotel .... Great food, & Z conversation, plus, got to check out the green machine - very nice! The rain almost cooperated, cleared up for a while. Thanks Mark for the nice surprise gift! Will enjoy it tomorrow morning. (my Z is jealous of the bling of rossiz's new hood vents)

Nah... he want a fuel system that was at least invented in the last two centuries.
