  4. Moog ball joints & boots, saved $7.29 ... Thanks!
  5. Thanks Dave. When I did the suspension on my turbo zx, the rear tokico blues came with boots, but not the fronts. Mainly concerned about the fit & quality of the rack boots. I'll keep your spares in mind....
  6. I am getting ready in a couple of weeks to do the suspension on my 77. Have the new Eibach's ready, will order the illumina struts to go with them. This week will order the ball joints, rack boots, strut boots w/bump stops from Rock Auto. I think I'm ok with the Moog K9011 ball joints (pretty well covered in a current thread). Does anyone have experience with the strut & rack boots they sell? (I'm guessing that the tokico illumina's come with no boots) The ones I'm looking at for the struts are KYB SB103 The rack boots are Raybestos 4301010 Any feedback or suggestions appreciated ....

    The one you own ...
  8. You might want to re-read the kia sportage thread.... Specifically the comments by zCars & Darrel. Its the aftermarket weatherstrip made by Precision that has the door fitment / door slam problem on S30's. (Typically what black dragon sells) This issue has been well documented on all the zcar sites over the years.
  9. Yes, I need to thank him as well. He did a first class job refurbing my combination switch, works like new, even looks like new! Even the dash lights are brighter. His harness upgrades are on my list for next month as soon as I complete the suspension. Was fun checking out his 240's & 260 as well, beautiful work...

Could be worse, she might have wanted a GTR ....
  11. Car looks great Dave! Amazing turnaround in such a short amount of time. How did the MSA seals fit? Surprised you did not go the kia sportage route on those.
  12. Looking at the fuse block, the top left fuse is 10A for the right headlight, the next one down on the left is 10A for the left headlight. The top right fuse is 15A for the parking / tail lights. Page BE5 of the shop manual. You might want to check the fusible links as well ...
  13. Good idea to refresh the entire clutch hydraulic system. When the slave fails, the master might not be far behind. Curious as too why you did not just drive the car home without the clutch? Just have to use care & patience when shifting and of course have a good battery if you get stuck in traffic. Glad the tow worked out well though.
  14. I agree with Jeff, the extra wheel would be great to have as a backup at that price. The Yokohama's are a great choice. I bit the bullet last week & ordered tires for the new Rota RB's I bought a month ago. Originally was going with the S.Drives but ordered Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 star's instead. 205/55/16 Got them on last friday, they look great....
  15. What width & offset are the new wheels? 205/55/16 would be the same diameter as stock. The 50 205 series will reduce the diameter by about 3% and throw your speedo off. The 215's should not be a problem with clearance to the front struts. Maybe the shop will let you test fit one so you can verify the clearance. The rear won't be a problem. I have a set of 205/55/16 dunlops coming in next week for my new wheels, only other option with the dunlops was 225/50/16 which I thought would rub.
  16. If you are in the market for that level of car, this is the one I would buy .... It has 52000 original miles, Yasin is asking $8500 , get it shipped to your location for around 1500 from Colorado by a professional carrier, and you are still way ahead. You can be assured the description in his ad is very accurate & their are no surprises. He has a very good reputation. Here is the link to his ad ... http://www.zcar.com/forums/read/8/2131101/2131101#msg-2131101 If I were in the market for another turbo ZX, I would look no further.
  17. It actually sold for $6250 .. the rest is the buyers premium, (I hate auctions that have those) A pretty decent deal for the buyer.
  18. I can claim 4 I've owned. the 240, MGA, Mini & VW ...
  19. Congrats! Always nice to see another 240 get rescued & back on the road. Good choice to keep it green. Wish I could fall into a deal like that. Would have got it just for the bumpers... Been looking all over for those. Look forward to seeing the pix.
  20. Thanks for posting that Jeff and getting the word out. I am certain Kurt & the family are very grateful for your effort. Hopefully there is a trusted member in or near the Corpus Christy area that can help them to get a fair sale of Cyind's z car assets. jpzx zcar.com
  21. They are great wheels, I had some on a lotus europa a while back. The problem with them is the tire availability, not many choices in the performance catagory for 15" wheels. That is why I am going with 16" rims next month.
  22. Wish I was Frank ... But since I'm not, I will be going the Rota route as well.
