Dime Quarterly T/C Rod Bushing Fix - Successes?
After reading multiple posts on the issue of using polyurethane bushings for the t/c rods I noticed one solution talked about is drilling holes into the bushing per this Dime Quarterly article: http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/articles/tech_tcrod.html. I'm curious to know if anyone out there has done this modification. If so, have any of you experienced problems? How does the suspension and steering feel after doing this? Is this a viable solution? I realize other "fixes" exist for the polyurethane issue. As a college student, though, I'm on a tight budget and my options are limited. Thanks, Bryan

Storage question
My brother had something similar happen except instead of a rodent it was a wasp nest. After slamming the lid down he turned on the gas and "smoked" the wasps out of the grill. He said it smelled funky (didn't know burned wasp would stink). Sorry to get off topic, couldn't help sharing.

Storage question
I would have to politely disagree on this. Having lived in Tucson myself (I was born in Phoenix) leaving things unattended outside for too long invites unwelcome consequences. Of course, it depends on which part of Tucson you live in, but as a general principle... A couple of suggestions: 1) Make sure your car has no dried mud anywhere that might cause/start rust. 2) Ensure you don't leave anything inside that would leave an odor. To illustrate point two, I kept a small plastic trash bag in the passenger side of a Maxima I once owned. I forgot about the bag when I left for a trip. On returning home, when I opened the car the smell made me gag. I had to wash the carpets and seats a couple of times with my steam vac to remove the smell. Bryan

Hella H4: Clear, colored, mega white?
I'm not a huge fan of the ricer look either, having moved to Arkansas from the west. I'll be upgrading to Dave's headlight harness so the H4 bulbs shouldn't be too much for the car. I do plan on upgrading the wiring in the entire car eventually. Thanks for the input, Bryan

Hella H4: Clear, colored, mega white?
As I've read through posts about different H4 bulbs I have decided Hella would be most appropriate for where I live. I live in northwest Arkansas out in the country, so brights are important to me (not that I never drive into town--I am a college student). As I've searched online I noticed Hella sells different bulb types such as clear, colored, and mega white. My question is, what do you guys prefer? Are the "normal/original" Hella H4s the most typical? Thanks, Bryan

Just finished putting down some sound deadening
Logan1, So, it's been a few months since you installed the insulation. I was wondering how your car sounds. Also, how difficult/easy was it to place the carpeting and vinyl on the car? Did you encounter any difficult areas like the wheel well or the strut towers? Thanks, Bryan

Hi Dave, I am new to this forum. I have recently bought a 240z and I am excited to begin the restoration process. I stumbled upon this thread and can't believe how wonderful it is you are making these upgrades. Do you still have the HLH and PLH available for sale? Thanks, Bryan
