yeah, that's a bit more than I am willing to spend. I am not looking for something that will be necessarily "all original". I am looking for something I can drive now, track later so originality isnt of the utmost importance. Thanks for the link...looks like a really nice car

yeah thanks for all the opinions guys...I am looking for a 240 I can reliably drive now (just to have fun with for a bit), but will then shortly commit it for autocross, track days, etc

Hey guys, I frequent some of the other boards (i.e. zcar, etc), but I just recently joined here. I currently have a '09 370z, and today I ask for you help as I am ready to buy my first 240z. Hey, so I am about to look at a 1971 240 with a (what the seller says) is a 1977 carbureted L28. Chassis: Approx 160k miles, engine approx 60k miles. New wheels, great interior, great paint, great body, clean title. I will know the extent of rust issues when I finally see it, but he stated that there is some surface rust (Originally CA car, now has been in AZ since the 80's). link: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/nph/cto/1670426677.html Couple Questions: 1. What year was the L28 carbureted? I thought they were all fuel injected (sorry I searched for this, I guess it's a modification). 2. He wants 5,000...if everything checks out (let's say no rust, runs great, etc etc), does that sound fair? I would like to go lower, but not insult him . I know it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay... Please let me know what you guys think...thanks!
