  1. What he said! People research this site and believe what they read. A little self promotion would help people who invest big in a great car. No sense shooting ourselves in the foot.:stupid: Casey
  2. I just bought a pair of Nissan fenders. Great fit and look. The time saved in labour is worth it
  3. This is the best I can do she is camera shy;)
  4. I will have to be careful in choosing words on this forum:ermm:
  5. I am am many years past being a magnet for "BABES" except for the fact that I have 5 daughters:stupid: The stripping and paintprep work is being done by my brothers sister in law Tammy who is a licensed body mechanic and has a real eye for details.
  6. This is my brothers shop and we have an arrangement:cool: I bought new fenders from Nissan and the quarter panel myself. All surprises have been addressed:stupid: It is hard to put a real value on this due to the fact that my time is not factored in. Most shops would rather do collision work and will do restoration work on an hourly basis do to all the unknown issues that will arise on a forty year old vehicle. Even so my car is not a show car but a driver. It will be a nice driver. This type of project is a labour(Canadian spelling:beer:)of love not for financial gain. Our old Z's(pronounced "zeds") are fun to drive and draw lots of attention where ever you go. Casey
  7. More pics Everything fits and is straight. Blocking and sanding
  8. My brother Pete's shop. 5 Star Collision in Grimsby Ont. I have been doing a lot of the unskilled work and leaving the skilled work to the expert. When you peel a 40year old car down to bare metal it's history is exposed. We found and repaired some old shoddy body work. I will post some more pictures when I have a chance Casey
  9. Ebay came through with a rust free quarter. New fenders from Nissan. Close to final blocking and sanding. First pictures are of donor quarter panel from Washington State. We in Ontario are amazed at the condition of parts when salt is not a factor:stupid: The quarter is lined up and tacked into place and should be welded in place by now:)
  10. Body work The Z is in the shop stripped of its paint. Will post pictures of progress. The biggest surprise was the right rear quarter. It was free of rust but not free of previous damage and needs to be replaced. I need to find one. If anyone knows of one in the northeast USA I could pick it up. I also have shipping address in New York State. Casey
  11. I did get the paint about 2 months ago. The web site seems different because I did order from it. I imagine a call would work. Casey
  12. Check this out. I bought a can of 901 silver and it was great. Casey http://www.automotivetouchup.com/
  13. My friend and I were hitchhiking when we were 15 and a 1967 Plymouth GTX with a 426 Hemi picked us up. The raw power and acceleration was out of this world. Got hooked for life:) There have been faster cars since but that was pretty cool:cool: Casey
  14. If you don't mind me asking. What brand did you end up buying? I am looking also. Casey
  15. Thanks Arne. I have been looking for the proper fit. Casey
  16. I have the same wheels. |The MotorSport centers are impossible to put until one of the tabs breaks off while you are trying:ermm: They have stayed on like that for two years. Casey
  17. Here is mine. 1972 Build date 05/72 VIN# HLS30-83211 Casey
  18. Friday night at Toronto Motor Sport in Cayuga Ontario. Take it to the track for $60.00. The reaction you get with my Z on the track is amazing:cool: My grandson thinks Grampa is cool too. Casey
  19. Cleaned up the battery area. Big hands working in a small area
  20. It is -17 degrees Celsius or -4 degrees Fahrenheit (in American English) outside. Left the heat off in the shop and the old tar mat comes off quite nicely. No dry ice required. Welcome to winter in Canada! Casey
  21. Check out http://ontariozcar.com/forum/ also. A lot of good info and helpful people in our area. Casey
  22. Here is your white Christmas:D Colour change to 901 silver and get it reassembled in time for spring. A blessed New Year to all. Casey
