  1. I bought a brand new 73 z when I was 19. Sold it 3years later because I needed a back seat. 5 daughters later and 5 weddings:stupid: I found a 72 and I am in a position to appreciate the car even more the second time around:love:

Carl I rebuilt the back brakes on my 72. There are 2 different wheel cylinders. The earlier one (roughly June 72 and before) only differs from the later one(after June 72) by the angle and position the brake line attaches to the back of the wheel cylinder. Otherwise the wheel cylinders are interchangable. I used wheel cylinders for a later model than my own. It was built May 72. I went to the neighbourhood(sorry Canadian spelling eh;)) auto supply and bought a couple of brake lines and bent them myself with a $10.00 line bender. Good luck. Casey

I have the same on my 72. The Datsun insignia is there but not the 240z. I also am curious what the correct conf. would be. I hope to have my car 901 silver this winter! Casey
  4. In Ontario values are higher than South California. These cars are rare due to salt induced rust. You need to have someone who knows what and where to look to see if the body is basicaly sound underneath eg frame rails etc. When I bought mine I had a professional look at the body because that is where the big money comes into play. A $1000.00 in the south Could be $2000.00 in the Ontario rust belt. The professional I used is my brother who has a bodyshop. Good luck and if you are near Smithville PM me and maybe I can help out. Casey

The seats are the same but seat rails are different. 1970 seat rails fit on 280z seats. then they bolt right on. Casey

MotorSport Auto. They just started selling this item a couple of months ago in there discontinued items section. It took a while for me to convince a cheap Dutchman to pay what they are asking for two bits of plastic. Perfect fit though. Can't complain about that! Casey

When I was 19 I bought a brand new 73 240z and took great pleasure in blowing the doors off my buddy's TR6. Now I have a 72 that will blow the doors my old 73 if I still had it. Who says you can't go back:D
  11. I love the silver Is that the original silver colour I have a 72 that the P.O. painted black. Looks good but it was a silver car and it should be so again. Casey
