I agree with Gumby240, turbo l28 is fun and relatively reliable. I did my turbo conversion using an 82 engine, harness and converted to a t-5 tranny at the same time. the swap was relatively simple, pretty much dropped in and bolted up. The wireing on the other hand was a bit of a pita, but with the info on hybrid z and some wiring schematics it can be figured out. I do however have the occasional hiccup, in the quality of how the engine performs. It seems mostly related to the old wiring harness plug ends, but this can usually be remedied by cleaning the connectons or just wiggling them abit. These wiring ghosts can be frustrating at times, and can also take away from the experience of z ownership. On the other hand, the car is faster, sounds cool, and is highly upgradeable.
  2. Ha, I'l bet it's light weight. What's Japanese money worth to the dollar? If that six inch car is worth 70k, i'd guess about 10,000 Jap dollars to 1 us, or 50 cents Canadian, .
  3. Maybe your clutch is slipping. Try taking your foot of the clutch from a stop with the brake depressed. if the car doesn't stall or move it could be your clutch. I've heard this little from someone and have never tried it myself, but it does make sense to me, so I thought I'd pass it on. Just a suggestion, hope it helps, good luck.
