  1. Haha, yes I do remember!

If you feel it in the seat then it is coming from the drive train. Check drive shaft, half shafts, diff, mounts, etc. While cruising at highway speed when the vibration is there take it out of gear and see if it goes away or lessens.
  3. Awesome stuff Stephen! So is your career, locomotive engineer. Very cool stuff. Video soon on how good she runs?
  4. Let me know if you have a working one for a 77. BTW, old thread.
  5. Water and electrical don't mix. Please dry out the fusible link holders before you do anything electrical. That includes starting it. A/C is definitely aftermarket. As Zed Head recommended, get the FSM and read through it. It will give a better idea of what you are supposed to have. Then the forum can help you diagnose problems. Let see some other pics of her too.
  6. Watch the rim...it also moves up and down like the tire. I can just barely make it out in your video but it is noticeable.
  7. I'm at 23 ft above sea level and don't have that problem. I'm curious on whether it will burn or not. Can't wait to hear.
  8. rossiz, that only works on carbureted cars.

    Welcome. How about some pics.
  10. I would go with body color FWIW. Mine is black because of the PO. Was looking at what it would take to put it back to original and it would cost way too much.
  11. I would look at where you bought fuel last, maybe? Wow, I just noticed you still have one of the original fusible link covers. I haven't seen an "original" one for years.
  12. Definitely a 77 or 78. And its a 2+2 model. Wish I could see what it says on the drivers window.
  13. I never installed the spacers on my Z after lowering it 1" (eibach & KYB) and mine is a street car. Not sure I follow you on the catalog, doesn't look MSA to me.
  14. Can't wait to hear results. I have had no luck with the ones I tried. However, mine were placed closer to the engine, on the return line. Held for about 2 hrs and bled off.

Fantastic! This is good because I opened the passenger door yesterday and I hear this awful sound coming from the hinge. Long story short-I too have the same thing happening with the bushing. Going to order a couple.
  16. 2 more things to add here. My pressure bleeds off about 1.5 hrs after shut down and I have the cowl induction hood on my Z, which I want to get rid of! So the heat has a large opening to escape.
  17. Mine is a 1977, stock EFI, I also have the Standard FJ3 injectors (ebay $150), exhaust header (not wrapped), manifold heat shield (no pcv heat shield), stock fuel rail, FPR, etc. From Oct. to the end of Feb. CA puts additives in the fuel. I notice during this time of year I have an occasional "Hot start" issue but it only lasts for about 5 seconds. No other time have I experienced it. But then again the weather is usually beautiful year round here. Rarely gets above 80 deg. So I will assume that if I lived where the climate was warmer I would probably experience the worst case scenario. If the fan really does help then it sounds like the fuel is vaporizing in the fuel lines, injectors, or both. Maybe it has something to do with the type of fuel we all use now? This didn't happen when these cars were new or fairly new anyway. I didn't have this problem when I lived in Vegas for 17 years either so forget about what I said about warmer climates. Good thread! Need to think about this some more.

I always did like that color combo. Nice Z!

Right, I was thinking about that while I was typing my above post. Going to try to be there early enough to be one of the first in the store. Hate crowds!

    What, no pics?

It is a tiny hole in the wall place. That's why there is always a line out the door into the parking lot during the "west coast nationals" show every year. The last time I went there were 25 people in that store all at once! I will be there again this year.
  22. Capt, I will buy a couple from you. My pump is seeping right now. So it's time for me to replace my o-rings as well.
  23. With PO's hacking into this, that, and the other on our cars you and I may be able to help each other out because we have the same car with production date 05/77 and our vin's are very close.
  24. Looks like it may be a remand AFM. I thought it to be a little different looking than mine. The black cover reminds me of a ZX AFM cover. I noticed it in pic 4 of post #1.
  25. Out of curiosity what is the yellow wire for with the red crimp connector?
