My current m/c is shot from sitting and has to be replaced. I want to know which on I should buy to replace it considering the planned upgrades. Scott

I want to do the rear disc swap on a 76 280, do I need to chang the master cylinder? If so, which one should I use and will it mount to the stock vacuum assembly? Can I use a 280ZX or 300z m/c with stock brakes and do the rear set-up later?

Does anyone have any experience with the rear disc kit from Jim Cook racing? It looks pretty trick and come with drilled discs for front & rear and stainless lines. Does it require a different mc and proportioning valve?

I am installing toyota 4 piston front calipers on my '76 280z. My master cylinder is also shot. Ultimately i intend to go with discs all around. What should I use for master cylinder and proportioning valve? I would like to put in upgraded mc with my front brakes. Is this ok? What is the best set up for rear discs? How hard is i to do?

i was scouting ebay a couple days ago there was a 240z that was started in the nissan z reman program but not completed. picture showed car w/o engine installed on a body stand and letter on nissan letterhead stating it was an uncompleted reman project. at that time i believe the bid was $5k. regards scott

I'm starting a renewal project on my 76 280Z. I'm considering having my engine rebuilt and modified. I'd like advice on building a civilized performance engine. I looking for a shop that is experienced in zcar performance engines and hopefully located in southern Michigan area (I live in Battle Creek.) My car is sound bodywise, needs new suspension (may need help her also) and has been in storage for about 14 years. I've owned it since 1978, drove it every summer until 1988. been in storage since. Car has lowered suspension, urethane bushings etc., handles like its on rails but engine was getting a little tired when last put up. I taking the gas tank out this weekend to have it reconditioned. I'm open to any and all advice.
