Thanks for the heads up. I am planning to proceed very cautiously. The interior is perfect except for the strips. I've had the car since new and it was only not garaged for 2 months when first purchased. It has been garaged since then.

I didn't think about that option. I'll have to go out to the garage and take a closer look at that option. Let you know. Thanks.

I will try the hair dryer. I keep one in the tool box to unfreeze the truck door locks in winter. Keep you posted. Thanks for the suggestion.

Has anyone actually tried to remove the chrome strip from the door card? I have 2 new ones from Z Depot that have an adhesive backing. I wonder if using a heat lamp to loosen the adhesive on the attached strip will work? Thanks, Fred

Just wanted to post that we are going to do a couple of Special Displays for the 50th Anniversary of the Z Car in June. We are asking for nominations from the Z community to fill the 2 classes (stock and modified). Each class will have 10 cars. The cars must be nominated and will be reviewed by the Car Selection Committee to see if they can get an invitation to participate. There is no entry fee. I had a great (short) time at Z Con. Came in Monday and left after the judging on Tuesday. A small thing like work got in the way. I am looking forward to getting the results of the judged show. Brown Bomber Z

I am the selection committee chair for the Cincinnati Concours for Muscle Cars and Asian Collectible Cars. I am looking for a concours condition (restored, factory correct) Series 1 for the show in June (June 11) in Cincinnati. This will be the second year for ACC cars in the show and last year we had a modified 260Z as well as Toyota's own 2000GT from the California Museum. I would really like to exhibit an original.
