Car is clean and I do not want to mess with it, I just do not like how high it sit's Rim are panasports 15" Tire's are 205 50 15 What will stiffer struts due? I have a whole fist between the tire and fender,Is my rim and tire combo the problem? Why would it be sitting so high? Thanks again....Hope to see San Diego CA Z club @ Denny's on Tuesday 7-6-10

*I want to lower my 260Z..... *Should I cut the springs? *How much should I cut? *Do I need a spring clamp to get them off? *Are the springs the only way to lower the Z *I seen some that are adjustable,but they were for 240Z.How much will they adjust *Any advice would help. *Thanks.

Yes,Its to high I know,tire size 205-50-15. When I got the car home the first thing I did was go down to pep boy's and buy some spring clamps to try to lower it,I grabbed 3 rings and clamped it down,but it did not do a thing,

I got the car a few months ago and really like it a lot,fun car,I have had (4) Porsche 912's in the past so this is my first 260Z I did not know too much about the car's so this site and others are really great help,The reason it was on graigslist is I like to trade,so I see what offer's I get and if I like it better then I trade.But I think I changed my mind and going to hang on to it for a while(2014)it will be 40..

Thanks, Tire's are 205 50 15,I just like the tucked look better.I will get some more picture's up soon taking the wife out tomorrow.Anyone know what the rear bumper thing is called that goes on top,I'm missing it,Hard to find?will 240 bumpers fit right on?There is 128,000 on the motor,I heard these are pretty strong motors and will last long.How many miles can you go before a rebuild. I just got my first Z, A 1974 260Z original color is gold metallic paint code #304 but it has been repainted a tan color,(I want to go back to gold)pretty clean car,very clean under,no rust I'm very happy with the car.I got it on Wednesday and drove it home from LA and it was fine.Got up Sunday morning to take my wife for a cruise to Julian I get up to the first stop sign and have no clutch(Wife is not happy).....roll it back down to the house jack it up slave cylinder went bad.called kragan auto have it in stock for $11.49 bought some oil and filter changed both and walaa all better.I do not like the size tire's and want to change the rims to 240z rims just missed some for $90 bucks.I tried to put spring clamps on last night to lower it a bit but it did not work,whats the best way to lower these cars.Thanks
