Good call, but my <i>investment</i> into Z's is now more of a <i>donation</i> to the hobby gods.

Ah, I didn't mean to try and get advice. More of a water-cooler discussion/speculation. Investing isn't too private of a matter for me. If the mods feel this is inappropriate in anyway they can surely take the thread down. Sorry, obiviously I'm new to the Z community - just testing out the waters.

Carl, Wow! You're the originaly owner of a 72? I hope that thing sees nothing but the inside of a car cover, in a garage, under ground....in a nuke shelter! Of course, that wouldn't be very fun to own, now would it? Steve, I try to search before asking technical questions. I'm no where near the car ATM, so as of right now I lurk the forums and spend my days Chit-Chatting. I like following other people's build threads - it gives me ideas for when I return. I know in the Rx7 forum I was going to throw an e-brick at the next person who asked what FB, FC, FD stood for (series designators).

So... Anyone on here invest too? I actually pulled all my monies out before May (phew!) but now I'm looking at buying back in. BP - down but most certainly not out. Anyone else think this is looking like a tastey idea? What are your guy's flagship stocks? Before I yanked my money my three flagships (over 100% growth on each!) was Delta Airlines (DAL), China Green Agriculture (CGA), and Citi groups ©.

I did notice that a lot of the Z enthusiest on this site are geared toward keeping their Zs stock. Maybe it's a nastalgia thing with you old timers Here shortly, I will be the owner of a v8 swapped Z - I know, I know - but I'm not the one who ripped the heart out! For the price and condition, I don't think I can find a better deal. Maybe I'll be lurking on the HybridZ forums as well, but from first glances it seems this site has plenty of useful information to look over (I am, after all, just getting my feet wet). Carl - how long have you been around Zs? I've seen quite a few of your posts around and they're always very well informed.

That's true. Unfortunatley I'm out of the States right now so I can't attend any Z meetings. I attended a few of the 7 meetings and I have to say - actually meeting people and seeing the cars in person sure does beat the internet! Off topic, by the way, what's the color code of the Z in your avatar?

300K?! That's a lot of miles on a 7! Well...75K per motor, that's about right. I sold off my FB back in 06 (Still regret that) and I lost my FD in a flash flood (CYM R1, I loved that car). I suppose the age difference in the owners makes sense. Also, a lot of the activity on the 7club is a lot of nonsense and guys goofing off. I don't really see too much of that on these boards. These seem to be a little more tech-oriented. Also, I guess if you look at the older 7's section the activity isn't near as much as say the FC or FDs (second and third generations). Maybe people are just losing interest in these older Japanese cars.

It seems there's a few Z forums and all of them have little activity. I just got into Zs (previously a Rx7 guy) and it seems that there isn't a single forum that stays very active. Even this forum - the most active I've found - has sections that won't see posts in months. I was just curious, is there a reason all the forums don't converge into one? It seems that if we were able to compile all of the Z forums into one - the knoweldge base would increase exponentially and benefit everyone. Also, am I just not seeing it since I'm new or is there no classifieds section on this forum?
