z 1975

well im using the 280zxt harness but idk if i can use the stock 75 harness and ecu to turn it on

ive got it cranking over guys but i wont stay on ive got fuel, spark, injectors are clicking everything is good but it wont stay on any ideas on what i can do to trouble shoot this!!!

I'm actually almost.done with the wiring I just have to connect the fuel to a fuel relay and hope it turns on and stays on...as far as now it cranks over from the ignition switch which is FANDAMTASTIC

KHow did u do it? To start it? Give me a list of things that u did so I can do it to mine, hopfully it'll start. Hey turbo 260 and sblake01. is it possible to put the 81 zxt dash harness on the 1975 280z with any complications? Since I already have the 1981 280zxt harness already in there...bcause the previous owner gave me the underdash harness not to long ago....

Well if I can't get this swap done right... I'ma look into just buying an n/a motor so I can drive it...

well turbo 260 i have the turbo motor already installed and harness with ecu... all i need now is to set up the ignition haress to hopfully crank it over and turn it on...thats were im stuck.. i sent u a PM already so we can norrow down what i need..

nice but no my car hasn't been driven yet... I've downloaded all the service manuals I can think of and I still haven't seen were exactly the ignition relay is I've seen some say its on the passenger side under the dash and others say under the hood were is It at on the 1975 280z .

i need to know if anyone ha,s because i need to connect the IGNITION WIRE HARNESS from the 81 280zx turbo and install it in the 1975 280z... all the write ups are talking about 77 280z and the relays are diffrent than the ones i have on my 75...please some help i havent got any feed back from anyone on this site... if some has done the swap on there 75 let me know were the fuel relay and inhibitor relay are located and what wires u connected from the ignition wire harness to the relays...

disappointed,,, well im installing the ignition wire harness on my swap--(280z l28et)-- but im wondering... can i just by pass the ignition relay and the inhibitor relay and install a switch from the coil to the ignition switch... and if i was to install the wires the proper way,why is it that i have to go through the inhibitor relay.. and as of now ive been tryin to locate the relays and have not dont have any clue were there located inside the car. i see some relays on the passenger side under the dash but ive read on other websites that say its on the drivers side but had no luck seeing anything there... but if any one can post pictures of ur ignition relays and inhibitor relays that would b greatly appreciated... please guys im trying to turn on my ride please help me if u really want to see another z on the street worth looking at...

yea i do i have everything possible to comlpete the swap... just wondering were the ignition relay and inhibitor relay are located.. and the color of the wires ill have to peel off to connect to the ignition... and hopfully b able to start it...

yea i know that i have the 81 zxt harness and i already installed the ignition wire harness.. both harnesses are already installed but i didnt get any reponse but i think i forgot to install the wire that goes fi relay now that i think about...

i installed the harness to the best of my knowledge but it doesnt evenn turn on.. pls put som imput in this guys

The thing is I found all kinds of information but they dnt specify were exactly the wires go like the three yellow wires on the six pin haress that goes on the ecu go.....

Hey guys I'm new here and I need some help installing the igniton wire harness on my 1975 280Z it has an l28et motor from an 81. When I bought the car the swap was almst compete but the ignition wire harness was never installed and now I have to install it but have no idea about were the wires that are on the other end go. Please help... the harness is the one with the six pin connector that goes to the ecu....
