Locked out of my glovebox
Unfortunately, it seems as though the key is just so worn down it can't push all the pins or something. I removed the 4 screws that keep the door hinge on, but I can't get at it that way either. I'll just take it to a locksmith and have him open it. I appreciate everyone's input on this, you guys and gals are an invaluable wealth of information :classic:

Locked out of my glovebox
Oh, nvm I guess the guy I bought it off had one, he had mentioned something about a trade, I guess he was talking about something else. I've only had to take it to a shop once, cause the air flow meter went out, other than that its been running great, no maintenance I wouldn't expect out of a 30+ year old car. Yeah its funny cause I noticed the bra at first, but really its the color code that sticks out on it, I rarely see other Zs with that paint. When I saw the other pics in your profile, the sound system was what gave it away.

Yeah, the same exact one, I bought it off the guy you sold it to, that's how I know about the bike.

Locked out of my glovebox
Wait a second...sblake, I am the current owner of the z in your picture!! Is the glove box key the same as the ignition switch/door key? P.S. How's the gsxr?

Locked out of my glovebox
Thanks a lot everyone! I'll take the majority of advice and not go medieval on the lock, but get it open in a reasonable manner (I think I just wanted an excuse to install a tv in place of the glovebox ). Just cause I'm cheap though, I'll try to open it myself first. Worst case I'll take it to a locksmith and have to shell out a few bucks, but anyway I'll let you all know if I can get it open tomorrow.

Locked out of my glovebox
Hello people, So I managed to lock my glovebox with my ignition key, even though it was a different lock, I didn't realize it until I tried to unlock it, and now my glovebox won't open. I need to get it open because like most people that's where I keep my insurance & registration, and I'm really considering going at it with a drill bit right now because of my frustration:stupid:. If there's any way for me to get around that though, I would be obliged if someone could show me a way. Much thanks in advance.

No dash lights, radio power
Sadly enough after disassembling the dashboard almost entirely and tracing all the headlight-associated wires, I simply replaced all the fuses, upon further inspection I noticed one was burned out. My mistake was ruling out the common cause offhand, taught me to always double check.

No dash lights, radio power
Long story short I was replacing my radio and everything was working, suddenly, while screwing the center console back in, the radio turned off and the dashboard lights ceased to work. Any ideas? I'm fairly certain its not a fuse, I've checked the fusebox and the fuse in the radio, I'm thinking something got undone. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!
