  1. When my Z gets back from being welded up, I'll start a page with pics too. I've been inspired to keep going by this thread, and maybe I can pass that along. I'll be spending a lot more time and a lot less money. The quantity of the former is dictated by the lack of the latter.

I think I have an extra door. I'll be able to take pics of it this weekend, if you'd rather put on a spare. If I remember right, the chrome looks just fine.

I have a pro doing the install, but I'll pass it along. Getting closer to a solid body every time I get paid...

Atta boy, site. Saved me money, and I was able to use PayPal, which meant in this rare circumstance, my car paid for itself!

Hi all - I've looked on motorsport auto, and they have the panel, but I'd be a fool if I didn't ask here too. It is that top plate that sits above the taillights, the latch goes through it. Mine is roached. Thanks all! Curtis

I have my dash out. I'll try to remember to take a pic tonight, if mine is in any better shape
  7. If anyone is looking for used struts, I have a full set pulled off a donor car. Will sell the whole set for less than 500.
  8. Don't lift those floor mats. Let me just keep imagining what's not under there....

OK. I was working on the manifolds last night they are loose, but still attached. I'll set it aside for you. I am moving in late May - if you can't get here before I move, lets be sure to keep in contact, so I can let you know where I am. It should be in the same general area of north Atlanta.

OK, I think I have it figured. My email is Curtis.eggleston@hcaga.org That should let you pay me. It has the exhaust and intake manifolds still bolted to it. Do you want them too? I can include them in the price - less work for me.

Sounds good. I do have Paypal, but I have no idea how to receive money from it. If you can walk me through, we can do it just about anytime at all.

I'll post pics soon, but this is a dirty, untested head that I bought years ago, presented to me as good. I can go clean it and do the big valve job, etc, but I'd rather just sell it. 150.00 takes it. Thanks Curtis

I have my dash out right now, trying to source some replacement gauges. After reading this, you can bet I'll reroute that cable when I put the dash back in...
  14. I don't think you'll notice as large a difference in the L6 as you might in a V8, simply because you have no opposing masses.
  15. I've done engines with replaced pistons. Just have a machine shop balance them as a set. Shouldn't cost more than 100.00, and all will be well. Please keep in mind, since this is an L motor, the concerns and worries of balancing just aren't as worrisome as a V motor, where you have mass working on opposing planes. Everything is, well, in the same line.
  16. The engines were individually balanced, cranks drilled out and rod/piston sets matched. The flywheel and front crank pulley are individually balanced as well.
  17. I agree with siteunseen. This is a factory-balanced engine, which is the biggest reason you'll want to keep them all in the same order. I don't think bore has as much to do with it as weight balance.
  18. No joy in finding the intermediate plate. Will happily pay for one if anyone has. Hopefully north Georgia area?
  19. Makes sense.I'll check drawers and shelves. Thanks!
  20. Would appreciate any help
  21. Here are the pics I have of the two mounts I've ordered, neither are right.
  22. Never thought of doing that - I have several intakes - I think I'll polish one!
  23. I have that same box, plus two others, in that same sale at Christmas. Another reason to love my wife! I've just gone through your whole resto- great work - I am about 10% on the way to where you are headed, and doing it much worse...

Can anyone recommend a shop that sells replacement gauges? I've looked at autometer, but I didn't know if someone out there sold a set specific for the Z. Thanks!

I'd like to take a look at the front bumper.
