Random plug thats disconnected and a twisty knob that doesnt do anything?
On the first one I'll have to follow the wires and find where it goes then... The 2nd one the connectors are the same connector, it can go together, but one has 5 pins in it with different colored wires, and the other has 3 pins

Random plug thats disconnected and a twisty knob that doesnt do anything?
I recently was cleaning out under the passenger area and center console of my Z and ran across 2 things that I'm unsure of. The first was behind the console and is a twisty potentiometer type knob that's just sitting behind the console, and it doesn't appear to affect anything seen here The other is a connector that was unplugged that sits under the passenger side seat. The connector appears to go together, but im unsure of if it actually does.

Wiper Motor not working?
Hi everyone, I have a 76 280z and recently the windshield wiper motor stopped working. I went to click the wipers on, and they went up maybe 1 inch, and then stopped and would not go anywhere. No matter what setting the switch is on, they stay in the same spot. If I try and move them by hand they're very resistant to moving. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box on the passanger side footwell, and despite there being a fuse for wiper motor or something that was blown, that did not fix my problem.. infact it wasnt even correctly labeled im assuming because it turned on the light above the heater controls, and made my alternator charge gauge work, and would never turn off. Regardless, does anyone have any ideas how I can get my wipers working again?

280Z Bad Brake Booster?
Alright so upon further inspection, since I only had a few minutes before to check the ground/engine compartment for brake fluid. I do have a leak at the drivers side rear wheel cylinder. The front brake reservoir was full, and the rear empty.(to which when I had checked earlier looked full, but I suppose I should have just removed the stupid cap ) I removed the master cylinder just incase some had gotten by, and nothing was leaking from the master cylinder still. I refilled the master and bled the brakes, but I still have no pressure at all, and if I bring the brake pedal all the way to the floor it will kind of brake, a bit. Also when I do so the brake light will come on. So basically the only way for me to scoot it around the driveway is to rely on my hand brake. Could that rear cylinder allow so much fluid out that the brakes would have no pressure at all?

280Z Bad Brake Booster?
that would be very annoying considering it's a new master cyl..

280Z Bad Brake Booster?
I have a 76 280Z, and today when I went to move it into the garage, the brake pedal basically sunk to the floor, and only the very last bit of pedal space, would allow the brakes to be used....very slightly . I checked for leaks everywhere, and I have yet to find one. There is fluid in both reservoirs of the master cylinder, and it is a brand new master cylinder. I also tried pumping the brakes with the car off to see if the pedal would build pressure, and it did not, it would just continue to pump and never stiffen up. So does this sound like a bad brake booster?

1976 280Z, Smoking, Soot, Running Rich.
I have a 76' 280Z, with the original L28Ein it, it recently failed smog, for running extremely rich. Not only that but it started giving me more problems once I got it back from the smog shop. On the way home from smog the oil pressure was very low, I want to say around 15 Psi, oil level is fine though. It was checked the next morning after it had been sitting all night long, and currently if I drive it around the Psi level is normal. The next thing though is it smokes a lot if you rev it at all, or under normal driving conditions. Around 2500+ RPM. The smoke is white in color. It will also shoot black "soot" which I can only assume is carbon build up from inside the motor, out of the exhaust. And finally some mornings when I start it, it will be misfiring and not hold an idle, I'm not sure of how many cylinders it's missing on. But it sounds like 2ish. If anyone has any insight on this, all help would be appreciated, thanks.

Fuel Leak from Tank 76 280z
I just looked up the hose clamps and they almost look like the T-bolt hose clamps I'm using on my del sol's radiator hoses seen here.. Would something like this be acceptable for the fuel lines? Also I just did a bit of poking around for a 7/16ths hose, and found that apparently older rx7's have the same issue, to which is the hose i need to replace on a low pressure side? If it is shouldnt the regular 7/16ths fuel hose be alright?

Fuel Leak from Tank 76 280z
Alright, might you know where I can find a fuel injection hose this large? if i remember correctly a 3/8ths hose ID won't fit over it and im currently using a 7/16th's hydraulic hose. Only because I couldn't find a 7/16th's fuel injection hose, and what do the fuel injection clamps look like? Thanks for the help!

Fuel Leak from Tank 76 280z
I have a fuel leak from the line that goes from the fuel pump to the tank, on my 76 Z. Can I replace this line with just a standard fuel hose? or does it need to be a fuel injection hose?

It's not that she didn't realize what she had, she just needs something that will drive everyday with NO problems whatsoever

New to the forums.. 76 280z.
Alright so I'm new here, I'm on HybridZ every now and then but I have a feeling I'll be on here and there more often now... I currently own a 93 honda del sol, it's my baby plain and simple. My ex has had a 76 280 for about 2 years, that she never really drove, and finally agreed to sell it to me. So. Once I pay that off it'll fully be mine, but for the time being..its at my house anyways I'm also picking up a 72 mg midget, regardless. My del Sol. is really no longer a suitable daily driver. It will more than likely be stolen if I leave it somewhere, SO this Z will make a great daily. Enough small talk though here's pictures of both cars.. And now that you've looked at the pictures of that the Z Unfortunately these pictures are older and the paint is in far worse condition now.. and there you have it.
