Zedd Findings
Just want to thank the folks on this site for suggesting Charlie @ Zedd Findings. I ordered floor pans from him, received them less than a week later. The pans have the same plug holes, bends, stamps as the original. In addition, he was great to deal with, very helpful. Hap

Chemical dipping 72 240z
It was right at $1,500, chassie, hood, doors, hatch. Start to finish, one week. Their final process was a light coat of rust inhibitor - which is NOT compatible with POR 15. After reading quite a few posts here, some with the same concern as Viper, I pressure washed it for about an hour. The best part was total removal of rust, saved tons of time.

Chemical dipping 72 240z
I decided to have my 240z dipped instead of powder blasted, by a company in Eugene Oregon. Really happy with the results. If anyone is interested in the process, they posted before and after pics on their web site - www.metaldipping.com. Click on the projects tab. Hap

Newbe 72 240z
No injectors - 4 screw rounded carbs - from z-therapy when I can afford it. I will come to some of the meetings. Beandip, did you keep the 240z suspension? Thanks for all the encouragement. As I mentioned at the beginning, this has been a great site for getting information - not sure I would have tackled as much as I have without the collection of data here. FYI, I have read every thread here, starting with the oldest and working forward. Did not always like the answers (do I really have to remove all that black stuff on the pans?). But after actually doing what was suggested have found the information to be great.

Newbe 72 240z
Thanks for the hybridz site. I have spent some time there, lots of good information, but a little further out there than I want to go. Mine will still be pretty much a z. It had a blown engine (not the original) when I got it. Lucked into a 280z that someone had put a lot of $ into and could not get it smogged in CA. So, I am putting the 280z engine from it into the 240z.

Newbe 72 240z
Just wanted to thank you all for the site. I've been reading LOTS of threads the past several months and really appreciate all the information. I'm in the process of restoring (not to stock) a 72 240z that had been sitting in the rain for the last three years. All parts that can be removed have been removed and now I'm removing the inside rubber coating (lots and lots of fun!). Again, thanks for all the insight. HapG
