When trying to get my 1972 240z to run i had found that the gas tank and gas lines were rusted, though lines are easly replaced the gas tank is not. Any one know of an easy way to get the rust out?

Yeah its going to be a lot of work but im hoping it turns out nice

I bought my first zcar about a week ago from my uncle, he is some what of a 240 fanatic.The car was found on craigs list five years ago, bought for 1000, and has been sitting under a porch deck ever sense.I had been looking for a 240 for some time and when given the opertunity to get this car i jumped on it, though reluctent to sell his car atleas it will still be in the family. The car had sat for 15 years before my uncle found it and sat 5 at his house, for sitting 20 years it is in great condition. there is a lot of rust on the hood, menimal on left quarter panal and a few variost places but nothing segnifacent. Gas tank and lines compleatly rusted out. I am curently restoring to close to stock with a few safty and proformance mods.
