Headlights on warning alarm
I was looking for a headlight alarm and was suprised that they aren't an easy item to find. Years ago they had a simple one that clipped right into the fuse box. Anyways, I found a link on installing a headlights alarm for anyone interested. It uses a $3 part from Radio Shack. It's for a Honda but would imagine it wouldn't be much different. http://www.hondaworkshop.com/misc/crx_headlight_warning/ Also found one you can buy for less than $20 @ http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/Automotive/VEK3505.htm I was wondering if there's a way to convert the seat belt warning alarm components and use them for a headlight alarm? Just a thought...

Best car alarm to install????
That was great. I would've loved to see that happen to the a__hole that stole and wrecked my last z. Then he had the balls to write and call from prison asking me to return a ring he left in the car (which I never found)Couldn't believe it. Once again guys thanks for the suggestions. This forum is a great source of information. Back in the day I installed a couple of stereos and speakers so I should be able to save some $ and do put the alarm in myself. FYI-When I called around auto parts stores for filters, a couple of times I had to spell Datsun cause they never heard of them before

Best car alarm to install????
I want to have a car alarm installed in my 260z (my last 260 was stolen/totaled-it broke my heart). I've read you can have electrical problems when car alarms are installed in vintage cars. Just wondering what type is the best route to go with an original 260 and what you have installed in your cars??? Thankz

Can you help a lady out with some info??
I forgot to mention it has weber carburators and after market a/c that he says works. Does that involve more preventative maintanence? So you think I should get ALL the fluids changed? Any idea on a ballpark cost to do this? I wondered about the milage too, but the interior is so immaculate, the seats look like new, arm rest isn't compressed even original floor mats. That's what makes me think milage is correct. Too bad it's an automatic. Here's the link if your interested.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-260Z-ONLY-42660-MILES-AC-/190426977022?pt=US_Cars_Trucks Thanks for the info!!

Can you help a lady out with some info??
Howdy! Just bought a 260z from a dealer in Florida on e bay, who got it at an auction with no history. It has an immaculate, original interior, only has 42,000 miles on it and wonder if it has been stored a long time. The car should arrive in a couple of days. I'll have oil, air and fuel filters changed. Do you think I should have the brake, tranny and radiator fluids changed? It also needs tires and has the dealer Appliance rims. Any suggestions on tires for just cruisen? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
