  1. I don't think many would be able to help, but welcome to the forums anyway. A great place for help would probably be twinturbo.net as their forums are for z32 owners whereas this is more of an s30 forum. I'm not sure as to what you're referring to by "japanese engine" because I'm pretty sure the american z32 and japanese fairlady z32 shared the same VG or VQ engine. I forget which but I'm pretty sure it was a VG since it's from the 90's.
  2. Forza 3 is still better.... Damn you Ps3 owners, Especially because of the logitech wheel with clutch. I have to pay friggin 300 something dollars for a porsche 911 turbo wheel with a crappy plastic clutch to even play it like a simulator.

Change to manual transmission if you want more out of it. Pretty bad arse car though, congrats on the purchase.
  4. Can't help you with the photoshop part but if I were you I'd swap out your rims and put chrome silver or black watanabe wheels on your Z seeing as you already have the japanese plate haha. Either way watanabe's always looks nice and they're my personal fav.
  5. I've heard about this a few times, but isn't there some other lubricant that can do this in a clear coat? I'm heading up to the garage later today and I'll ask some of the guys if they've heard of it.
  6. Sorry about not coming out to Kilyroys last night, since school started I've been bombarded with homework and stuff that needs to be signed and buying supplies. But if anyone lives in the NoVa area with a Z try and convince them or take yours out to chickfila in Sterling, va. The chickfila is right in front of lowes, across the street from sam's club and walmart and preferrably if you own more than one Z car try and bring your best one so you get bragging rights (Especially over those idiots who bring their silly mustangs). Usually there's a few 350z's, ferrari's, hot rods, I saw a DeLorean once, Chevy nova from the 60's and sometimes there'll be a Z32 or two there. I know there's going to be atleast one since that's what I'm going in. On another note for the second time ON ROAD I saw a 280 and if I'm correct I heard an RB35det engine if I'm correct? Anyways it was black and the guy who was driving it appeared to be in his mid twenties spotted at Reston town center during that jaguar meet on the main strip there. Edit: here's the adress to chicfila 45440 Dulles Crossing Plaza, Sterling, VA‎

Nice, did you make a vacuum mold of a die cast car and then cut the main body of the plasic? My friend and I tried to find a die cast gtr online to do the same and make an rc car out of one but instead went with buying a kit for an RC GTR.
  8. Yeah, I've already planned coming to Kilroys with Mike Petersen from the nova z club.
  9. Short story but driving down by the Potomac river in D.C I spot a 280zx parked with the owner relaxing with their feet out the door around 4-6 p.m. If I'm correct it was brown?. Anyways just wanted to tell whoever the owner of the car was props to them for the clean Z, it's rare to see 'em just out in the nova/metropolitan area.
  10. I've heard the same from a friend who's in the NoVa z club. I'm planning to go to the next meet.
  11. I just calculated if I made 9 bucks an hour and since the law for minors in va is that during the summer of non school weeks you can only work for 40 hours I'd make a little over 4,000. But if I do extra stuff like mow lawns, wash cars, etc I'd make a little over 5,000 and there's birthdays, christmas and few other opportunities for some extra money. I imagine if I get to know the staff and the higher people at the dealer ship they could probably give me some deals. Also the county I live in offers an auto servicing class on how to basically repair and diagnose cars in any cirumstance. There's also a welding class and the details for it are " This two-year course consists of instructions in the oxy-fuel and arc welding process. Students are trained in welding, cutting, and brazing. Instructional topics include MIG, TIG, and shielded metal arc welding. Class activities provide instruction in art and ornamental welding, preparation for the American Welding Society Test, and construction and repair of metal projects" Will this class teach me how to weld sheet metal for cars? And last but not least there is an Auto Collision and repair class which basically says "students learn how to replace and refine (painting) of auto body sheet metal, plastics, urethane, and composites are among the skill taught in this course". I know I'm taking Auto servicing but which one of the other classes should I take?
  12. Travel'n Man, that sounds like a really good idea. I'm not the type of person who has tattoos or anything and dress fairly nice so I think I'm set on that one. If I remember correctly we used to have a family friend who worked at the dealership but he moved away and we never really like him haha but I think if I can get my sisters boyfriend to take me in his Z32 that's gonna help a bit haha. I think I originally set my expectations way too high earlier and hyped myself up a bit too much. I'm entering high school this year in a few weeks and won't have too much time for this job until summer so I think around the same time I get my learners permit (this spring) will be the same time I'll check the place out because I should focus myself on school more or else I'll screw myself up and end up with a car and no money to take car of it.
  13. We have a Z club where I live and my sister's boyfriend is originally the one who introduced me to Z's a year ago should I join the club? It's only 25 dollars a year and you don't even have to have a Z to join.
  14. How much do you think I can get for receptionist or body manager and order body parts for the shop there? I might clean the cars and sweep the lot there if they don't have thos other positions open at the moment.
  15. That trunk monkey is simply bad arse. If I remember there's this car alarm (which isn't really an alarm) it was on the show 'effin science and you can turn it on and off buy remote but while it's on and someone enters your car it sets off a sonic pitch that'll blow your ear drums if you listen to it too long so that could work haha.
